Battersea was NEVER a wasteland. Until all the apartment buildings for the wealthy arrived . They're all empty, as they're only for investment and money laundering, nobody actually lives in them. In the 1970's and 1980's it was a really good, central place to live, full of life. And affordable. too for those of us with normal lives and jobs.
