@@Knerdd I think everything you say is true, only maybe despite the antidote he made and took for the Titan formula, it was not permanently cured for the Joker mutation, so small bit of it was still lingering within him. And you said, it was an eternal struggle especially with the fear toxin for him, to submit and given to the virus or for him to overcome it, with Batman. 🧫🦠💀🦠😈

This makes the story a bit better the internal struggle is a nice take

I just assumed he was still infected because in Arkham city he only took half of the cure instead of all of it

I think Batman though the same as you. in Arkham City, Freeze produced 2 doses (one for Bats and one for Joker), so Batman though a full dose was needed to cure the disease. since he only used half, he thought it wasn't enough.

Arkham Knight VR shows a confirmed blood test. Sure, it was a dream. But it along with everything else in the cave seemed to be a 1-1 recreation, otherwise Batman probably would've noted that the blood work on file was different along with anything else out of place. Both Henry and Robin note the green eyes, identifying Batman as a Joker, but maybe there's some residual gas coming off of Bruce that would alter what they see as well. Robin fearing having to face an evil Bruce and Henry's fear of being an inadequate new Joker could easily explain how all three of them are seeing the same thing I suppose.

man I didn't even think of residual gas on his suit, that's honestly a good idea. I was thinking more along the lines of Batman was infected for multiple hours before he was cured in Arkham City, so this could have been enough time for a minor mutation like green eyes to occur, but nothing major. Or maybe the green eyes could have been a side effect of TITAN, not the Joker blood mutation, because as we see in Arkham Asylum the titan formula changed its subjects' eyes to green as well.

It is worth pointing out Robin had no idea Batman was infected till that moment. Now the effects of the fear toxin can be influenced as seen with Batman being made to see Barbara off herself, but there was nothing really pointing Robin in that direction.

I believe that the reason he saw an infected blood test was simply part of Bruce's nightmare. It's not completely impossible and far-fetched to say that Bruce just saw something scary in a dream.. but, maybe I'm just delusional.

I recommend Micah Edmonds videos on the matter. I think he understands this game better than anyone and will throw out the window every confussion you might have. Quite long videos tho but easy to watch

I don't know if this was mentioned or not but more evidence to back this up is that, in Arkham City, when the infection wasn't even supposedly "worsened by fear toxin", he could literally see his parents in heaven, to the point where he had to take what is basically a suppressant to keep living, however, in Arkham Knight, when the infection is supposedly worse, nothing like this ever happens, Batman still performs fine other than some hallucinations, which seems more like fear gas than a real infection. In other words, it's very different than what we see in Arkham City. Plus, Batman never receives a cure in Arkham Knight, he faces his fears, which would not be so if it was just an infection. edit: sorry for the paragraph lmao

I like this and clownpuncher139 theory. What I'm going to say doesn't or really change much but to how Batman was cure from Joker's blood just another point of veiw I guess. Clownpuncher139 theory suggest that Batman had a bad blood transfer from Joker's blood being a different blood type to Batman's. The reason to this is because Batman have those symptoms of a bad blood transfer and that Batman was most likely going to die of it if it wasn't for the dragon's blood batman drank which would cure him of it. Another thing to think about Joker was sick of Titan poisoning longer then Batman had and the fact that Batman was dying within hours with the poisoning doesn't make sense and that is also another evidence clownpuncher used too the timing. So if we combine this and clownpuncher139 theory Batman had a bad blood transfer and titan poison thanks to Joker, Batman went and find Ra's al Ghul to get a blood sample for his cure of titan but was slowly dying to Joker's blood but saved after drinking the dragon's blood which cure him of bad blood. Then went back had the cure made only for one taken by Harley and one destroyed by Freeze. At the end of Arkham City Batman drank half of the cure getting rid of titan poison which made Batman free of everything wrong with him other then his fears of becoming into the Joker. Therefore the other's that had Joker's blood in their bloodstream mutated and making them into Joker, then of course what this theory pretty much said Batman was becoming Joker thanks to the fear gas he is expose to only to beat the fear and rid of Joker. I hope this makes sense.

Also if Batman was cured before Arkham Knight then why did Robin say that Batman had the jokers eyes/blood and he wanted to put him in the cell? Was this also a hallucination of Batman’s? Why didn’t Robin ask Batman why he was acting crazy when they were captured the people with Jokers blood and Harley Quinn? Why didn’t Robin say anything?

I have multiple theories for the eyes turning green. Could've been a side effect of TITAN (because Batman was infected with titan multiple times and it turns your eyes green) or it also could've been that since Batman was infected with Joker's blood for a few hours before getting cured, that might've been enough time for a minor physical change to occur like eyes turning green, but no other major physical changes.

This makes perfect sense to me, its fully believable that the titan-mutated joker blood would have been cancelled out by the cure at the end of city. I think its made pretty apparent that becoming the joker scares the shit out of Bruce. He gets a solid dose of fear toxin in the beginning of knight, combine that with his fear and paranioa and you got joker hallucinations baby. I dont know if they ever clarified if this is the case. Okay then how come robin can see Batman's eyes turns green?

Correct me if I'm wrong but at the end of city when joker puts some sort of gas into Batman which causes Batman to drop the antidote isn't that joker's blood??

Arkham VR was all a dream, which fits pretty perfectly into the idea that Batman was afraid of becoming Joker considering that Bruce was even having nightmares about it

@Knerdd except you can find the exact same swtup and clues re: the Batcave from VR, in the canon Wayne manor depicted in challenge maps in AK. While the cases and deaths were a dream, it was so because of Bruce's concerns from running the blood tests that you can literally perform in VR that confirm his illness. Your strongest case is that it's unlikely for someone to be able to overcome a chemical change in their body like a mutation or elsewise but you see that man doing that in the original Arkham Asylum multiple times using his force of will to eradicate scarecrow's fear toxin from himself. This is literally a Canon ability of Batman.

Fear toxin is a variation of Titan. When he inhaled it, it reactivated the Joker mutation that evolves off of weak willpower. Batman was infected but was able to overcome it because it’s stronger with lower brain activity. Also, Arkham Knight wasn’t a difficult plot to understand. Especially if you play it’s predecessors. Just play the game and you’ll understand

Honestly in my opinion, if Batman Arkham Knight ended when we were locked inside of Ace Chemicals, it would be a better ending then we have now. Batman could have died and it would have made sense. He had served the city enough, he should let it rest. Here’s how it would play out. After talking to Gordon, saving the missing cop, and getting poison ivy, there would be an announcement. Scarecrow would be talking, saying how he was impressed that Batman had took out his new forces. His last words to Batman would be, “in order to save this city from me, you will have to get through them.” The announcement would end and Riddler, Two Face, Penguin, Firefighter, watchtowers, and other missions would pop up on your screen. But this time, each mission that you decide to take on would cost you. Let’s say Penguin is robbing a weapons factory and Two Face is robbing a bank at the same time. If you go after Two Face, you would stop the bank robber. However, Penguin would get weapons and send his men on the streets and cause havoc. Nightwing would want to help Batman but Batman would refuse. You would have to go to the location of where this is happening and you would be met with at least 16 enemies. 2 enemies would be brutes with rocket launchers, 7 would be normal enemies have sub machine guns, 2 would be normal enemies with shotguns and body armor, and the rest would iron pipes and baseball bats. You would throw a smoke bomb at the enemies with shotguns and take them out with a beat down while they are stunned. When you are finished with the shotgun enemies, you would throw batarangs at the others with sub machine guns and take them out. You would only have to fight the 14 of the enemies because the 2 brutes with rocket launchers would be used in a car chase. After you defeat the 14 enemies, 3 cars would arrive, the 2 brutes would get in 2 cars, leaving one with no brute, that being the car with Penguin. You would chase the Penguin around, dodging rockets as you go. After the 2 cars with brutes are defeated, Penguin would get away. So this time, you would go to capture Penguin with Nightwing. When you are done with that mission, you would be called and told that another bank is being robbed by Two Faces men. You would go to the bank, defeat the enemies, and Two Face would arrive. Yet, instead of him fighting like a normal enemy he would be a lot harder. If he sees you on the gargoyle, he will shoot at you and follow where you go if you try swinging on another gargoyle. If you go off the gargoyle, he will send some of his men to where you dropped off the gargoyle. If he hears your grappling hook going to a gargoyle, he will shoot, so you will have to stay far away when swinging from one gargoyle to the other. If you go behind him and try to take him out when he still has some of his men in the bank with him, this is what he will do. He will try to shoot at you before you can silent takedown him. But by pressing X, you can smack his gun away. He will try to punch you but you will counter it. Just as you are about to knock him out, his men will see you and shoot at you. You will run away and Two Face will pick but up his gun. You will have to take out Two Face last in order to stop the robbery/not dying from Two Face. Now for the riddler, you can either solve his puzzles to lower Catwoman’s chances of dying from the collar or you can go to her yourself and be shown the right box that Catwoman should choose. There will be enemies waiting at the orphanage though. So on the first riddler mission, if you go to the orphanage, beat up the enemies, and tell Catwoman the right box, the riddles will get harder to solve. If you go to solve the first riddle in the first mission to help Catwoman choose the right box, there will be more enemies at the orphanage. Eventually you will get to the riddler boss fight, Batman rejects Catwoman, etc. Now once you complete all the mission beside the Scarecrow one (which you have to complete all the missions to unlock the Scarecrow mission) than, you will go to Ace Chemicals, where you will not meet the Arkham Knight because he would not be there since I never liked the reveal cause we all knew it or why he was there. The mission will play out like normal, save the Ace Chemical workers, get to Scarecrow, etc. There will be more enemies though. So you get to Scarecrow, and you smash his face in the computer, but, instead of the Barbara thing happening, Scarecrow will spray toxins at your face. You will start to black out, see Scarecrow run away, and you will have a flash back on Arkham City, Asylum, and Origins. You will wake up, Alfred will talk to you, telling you to escape and Batman will die from the explosion. A cutscene will appear of Scarecrow going on a helicopter and thinking he is safe, however, Azrael will be at on the highest point of Ace Chemicals. He will glide down to the helicopter, engage in a fight with Scarecrow, which he will win, and the helicopter will crash right by Gordon. Azrael will come out with Scarecrow and turn him in. Gordon would thank Azrael and he would ask for his name, and he would say Azrael. The same cutscene would happen of Gordon talking about what happened after Batman died, Dick and Tim would have to move on from it, and Azrael would be the new hero of the city. Boom, ending done.

here is my theory : Batman in Arkham Knight has no effect from Scarecrow 's toxin , or at least much less than the hallucinations that the toxin gives him in Batman Arkham Asylum , and that by now he is almost used to it , but that Batman in Arkham Knight is possessed by the Joker 's soul , in the Arkham City finale , when the Joker dies , his soul enters Batman after a short time , in short , when Batman picks up his corpse and takes it to the police, at that moment the Joker's soul will enter Batman's body, in fact Batman sees the Joker as a hallucination in Batman Arkham Knight after about a quarter of the game, in the mission in which you have to collect cans of something in the Ace Chemicals, but in reality those Joker hallucinations are not caused by Scarecrow's toxins, also because Batman's greatest pure are bats and the death of his parents, and that in reality the Joker's soul in Batman's body that he has decided to be seen by him, and then Batman in Arkham Knight sometimes assumes Joker behavior, and Joker's soul tries to defend Batman from Scarecrow's toxins, also because in the end Batman and Joker love each other a little, in short, love and hate, and therefore the Joker's soul protects Batman who instead of showing those nightmares of the toxins that were in Batman Arkham Asylum, shows his ghost
