When I was a kid, I looked up to Superman. He was my role model. I'll never forget the day Christopher Reeves died. I was sad for a moment, but then realized he was finally free to fly once again as God intended. By his example as displayed in the movies, I find I am often moved to take the road less traveled, to stand the righteous ground, and always do what's right. You can pick your heros, historical or fictional. But you will be hard pressed to find one that measures up to Christopher Reeves as Superman.

It's true that the Man of Steel tries to save the Day everywhere but even Superman can't be everywhere. As infinity Powerful he is at times Superman can't save everyone. Its been proven in Superman one when he a choice to save a State from Nuclear deviation or the life of his then crush Lois Lane. It's been proven in a TV Series called Lois & Clark when Superman lost his Powers and Lois became Ultra Woman and it's been Proven in Comic Books in which Superman lost the fight to save a Earth from Three Villains of his own birth world and in Crisis when he lost his only Cousin to the Anti Monitor.

But in Superman III every country voted to censure evil Superman, with Colombia - who he'd just saved - abstaining. So that meant that France, the US, etc. who he'd saved before didn't take into account he'd helped them before. I bet when he became good and heard that, he was peed off, thinking all those ungrateful countries he'd saved from destruction.

This scene was like something straight out of the comics, and no one embodied Superman better than Christopher Reeve. I will say, I am a bit confused by this sequence being titled "Batman Vs Superman United Nations" - other than a couple of shots of Michael Keaton, is this part of a larger homage or parody?

I loved this speech and it's delivery. However, even as a child, I realized Superman was potentially instigating a war, by removing each nation's nuclear arsenal. Interestingly, he starts with he US's missiles (subs) and then the Russians. I can only imagine the chaos being created, when Superman breaks into nuclear missile bases and takes the missiles. I'm willing to bet someone would try and detonate a nuke in the process to try and stop Superman. It would probably be futile, especially against this version of Superman. The Russians would probably consider it an American act of war, considering Superman is most active in the US and assume he is loyal to the US. After all, in his first published interview, he says he is here to fight for truth, justice, and the American way. Superman probably would have started World War 3, in this seemingly good intentioned act.

But Cannon Films had taken over, and the budget was slashed, so this film ended up as the movie equivalent of the 3rd season of Star Trek's original series. And also like the 3rd season of Batman in 1967-68, for a better analogy. In other words, it should have been an improvement, but it wasn't.

All of our nuclear weapons detonating on the surface of the Sun wouldn't even be noticed when the whole surface is a continual nuclear explosion. The weapons would be extremely tiny in comparison. And they wouldn't detonate anyway, because they would vapourise long before they even got to the surface.

@@ArcKnightElite Sun spots often grow to many times the size of our planet and are caused by the magnetic field of the entire Sun. Imagine how much energy would be needed to affect such large structures and the magnetic field of an entire star. We have less than 20000 nuclear devices on Earth. The asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs was about 10km across and released the energy of about 10 billion Hiroshima sized fission devices. Many asteroids of that size could continually fall into the Sun without affecting it at all. And just like any nuclear weapons thrown at the Sun, they would vapourise before even reaching the surface, because the Sun is so incredibly hot before you even get to it. Millions of Earths could fit inside of the Sun, and the Sun is one huge and continuous thermonuclear explosion that still has billions of years of existence ahead of it. The Sun can swallow whole planets without a fuss, so all of our Tsar Bomba sized weapons and extinction level asteroids are nothing at all in comparison to it.

There’s no punchline, this was a film edit of a Batman VS Superman movie that stars their 80s counterparts Michael Keaton and Christopher Reeve respectively. The aim of this project/video was to make a BVS film as well as a re-edit of Superman IV using behind the scenes footage and trying to edit associated scenes especially the flying scenes.
