Funny thing, Frank Miller was credited as writer in Robocop 2, did a cameo and even give this 'Believe me men i'll do it - I believe you' DKR quote to the movie as well.

"Just the right kind of cut above the eyes" I appreciate when batman gives practical dirty boxing advice. I'm pretty sure that is why overhand strikes are looked down upon as a cheap tactic.

I don't think it implies fixing anything. An operating table is exactly what it is. A table for operating on something, whether morally good or morally bad. In it's basic form, to operate on something means to work on it, and nothing about that implies anything towards fixing.

I’ve watched this fight a few times but I just realized how good the sound design is. There’s so much impact in the hits. Each hit sounds like it could break a regular persons bones. Combine that with the really great percussion and low brass in the soundtrack and the whole thing feels heavy, visceral and violent.

This is one of my favorite animated Batman fights because he surgically beats an opponent who is clearly more physical. This was a chess match and Batman is the Chessmaster. He doesn't play checkers

I love this scene. It shows how powerful Batman is. He doesn't beat you because he's stronger. Because he's fancier or because he has some infinity stones He beats you cause he's 100 steps ahead of you. He beats you cause he takes your legacy. Breaks your bones, paralyzes your nerves so that you will forever remember the day you thought you could face the Batman. #DCForever

He also is still tactical He was slower so he fought the mutant leader in mud to slow him down instead of becoming faster. Also he asserted dominance over the followers. He later used them to help maintain order in the city after the nuke emp goes off the russians launched. Finally he uses the followers to help train them to protect gotham after he "dies"

Loving the sound design. These are big boys throwing big punches, so every one of them gives a big impact.

I still get goosebumps watching their reactions to seeing their fearless leader get picked apart and dismantled. Demoralizing for them and satisfying to us at the same time. Batman is a GOAT bro Shoutsout to Frank Miller for this amazing story

This is DKR Batman. He was written by FRANK MILLER. They guy that wrote Sin City. Dude is unusually brutal for a Batman.

Out of the hundreds of time I've watched this scene I never noticed batman going into the mud with the mutant leader

Every strike every cut every second was calculated thought out and very very tactical....... I love it

People seem to forget that batman is technical and a tactician. Notice how at first he only goes for the weak but hard to hit spots like the sides where it's nice and soft and your liver is chillin. Once he wears him down he goes for the main spots that the mutant has built up to take damage. Then once he's got him weak, stunned, and on his back he gets even more technical with the jiu jitsu holds and breaks his bones

This how you make punches have weight to them

This has to be my fav batman animated cinema of all time.

Some of the finest thing in the world : 1) Diamond 2) Batman combos

This clip shows why Batman was so formidable not only was he physically strong he was also an expert tactician. He knew on a one to one combat the Mutant leader had the advantage being younger and physically stronger than him so he compensated this by fighting in a mud pit and using superior combat strategy to slow him down and weaken him. Managers should be shown this clip to explain what good strategy is.

I srsly did not expect this movie to be that freaking good! Even the soundtrack gave me goosebumps!!!

Potentially hot take: this fight was better than the Superman fight at the end of the comic/Part 2. Don’t get me wrong. Love the Superman fight too, but this one feels more... gritty? I think the joker fight in part 2 was better because Jesus both of them snapped

I feel like Batman is the T-800 because he knows pressure points and what kind of cuts work in a fight. He said peg Batman? My man Batman ain’t going let that happen

I like how they really convey the slowness as a way of emphasizing power and weight with each blow

Some of the lines Batman has in this movie are so iconic and epitomise the essence of the dark knight like, "This isn't a mudhole; it's an operating table...and I'm the surgeon", and when addressing Superman after beating him down by using intelligence and force "I didn't have to go easy on you...I want you to remember that...in all the years to come, in your most private moments; I want you to remember the one man who beat you." There are plenty more that I could mention! I still don't feel any live action version or actor has been able to truly become the dark knight. The only one that came close was perhaps the dark knight trilogy in my opinion, but even that didn't fully give you that feeling that Batman is this supremely intelligent and highly trained martial artist that is formidable, unstoppable, inevitable and unable to be intimidated. Some sort of constant stalking shadow that never stops, cannot be overpowered and a source of terror. For me that's the true dark knight, and until a live action version portrays that and hones in that. I'll still prefer the animated versions.
