The United League battles Darkseid & is defeated. Aquaman dies. Darkseid later boom tubes into the Batcave & murders Lois. Wonder Woman tries to defend her but fails at the cost of both their lives. Batman was responsible for keeping Lois safe & Superman blames Batman for her death. Superman succumbs to the Anti-Life equation. Superman becomes Darkseid’s most powerful slave. The world belongs to Darkseid. The remaining members of the Justice League are Batman, The Flash & a Cyborg that is ripped in half. They use the cosmic treadmill to travel to two distinct points in time that are perfectly lined up with the time they are in now. One is the scene we see in BvS where Flash warns Bruce about Superman. But he was too soon. Cyborg wants to go with this point in time but Bruce remembers the scene in BvS & knows that will not work. The other point in time is right before Darkseid kills Lois in the Batcave. Flash saves Lois & warns Bruce. The League unites to take the fight to Darkseid, stronger than ever.

Can anyone ever imagine how long he’s been wearing that suit in the apocalyptic wasteland?

This film was building up to something SPECTACULAR, I can tell. The likes of which we've never seen...and now, we'll likely NEVER see. It's sad that the critics had to spew hatred on everything DC. I admit this film wasn't perfect...but NO film is, including Marvel films, and this is coming from a Marvel fangirl! DC has always been 'darker' than Marvel so I've never understood the argument people have about wanting the DC films to be more "light-hearted". I wish DC had had more faith in Snyder and allowed him to finish his trilogy. I can only hope that one day they at least turn his vision into an animated movie, just so we'll get some sort of conclusion/payoff.

This is one of my favorite scenes in Batman vs Superman: DoJ, and as much as I didn’t like two of my favorite superheroes fight one another, the movie & it’s story was amazing as a whole. However, rewatching this ‘Knightmare’ has brought some points I’d like to address and ask everyone: 1. Batman’s appearance in this nightmarish alternate reality/future is really cool. The trench coat he wears really suits him, like a makeshift cape. 2. From various sources, in this nightmarish reality, Superman is ‘corrupted’ or under the influence of Darkseid & Apokolips, allowing the latter to decimate the world. 3. With Superman committing acts of evil with forces following him, it makes sense that Batman would need Kryptonite to stop him. However, if the plan to use the Kryptonite worked, would Batman would use Kryptonite to weaken Superman to break him out of his corruption, or kill him? 4. Though this scene was a nightmare scenario, Batman killing the enemy soldiers (or people in general) didn’t bother me too much as I thought. It just reminds me that Batman, no matter how much he stands against injustice, is still a man and that in war, you can’t always fight with your hands tied. Also, showing mercy to your enemies, especially in war, will only give them more opportunities to kill, torture, or do worse to others. 5. Another question, what in the world are those humanoid beings with wings? I heard that they may be called ‘Parademons’ but I’m not sure. The fact that they appear other-worldly may mean that they are minions of Darkseid, or another force/race joining him. 6. The neck break Batman did on the last soldier (before he was knocked out😔) was the best one I’ve ever seen in movies/tv shows. 7. My last point & question is why does Superman blame or hold Batman response for the alleged death of Lois Lane in this alternate reality? It doesn’t seem believable that Batman would deliberately kill Lois Lane, or cause her death wether or to harm Superman. Also, Superman killing the rebellion captives just shows how corrupted he’s become due to the loss of Lois & Darkseid’s influence, and Batman’s fear that Superman could rule over the world if he chose.

Those soldiers look like the regime from injustice universe

If you don’t know what this scene is it a possible future where Batman never made the justice league so Superman went insane because Lois died by the joker or Batman failed to save her so flash went back in time to warn Bruce that darkseid was coming and tells him to make justice league so that they could protect her and defeat darkseid so flash changed the timeline so now we don’t have that knightmare movie we have the justice league movie

Batman swore a code to never kill his enemies no matter what. They portrayed him better in the Arkham series, and Christopher Nolan’s.

They didn't shoot him because Superman wanted him alive.

After the Snyder cut this hits different

I like how this acts as a reference to Injustice
