I'd change night to nigh so it sounds like batman is inevitable, like a force of nature, so it sounds like: *I AM VENGEANCE* *I AM NIGH* *I AM BATMAN*

I can honestly see Bruce Wayne / Batman doing this, giving up his humanity to save humanity.

So Batman plays call of Cthulhu and finds the only way to “win”

It takes a monster to defeat a monster. And Batman made a great sacrifice in order to destroy Ra's al Ghul by giving up his humanity. This is one of my favorite scenes.

there is a message to the story the doom that came to gotham when darkness needs a champion we sometimes end up becoming it champion but we end up using the darkness for the right reasons and know to become one with it without hurting or pushing others away

It's hard to say if Bruce was ever "normal" in this universe. Earlier Ra's Al Ghul tried to drive him mad by showing him his god. Batman shrugs and says he's already seen it in his dreams all his life.

@@Bluesit32 this is an elseworlds situation. the realtionship may not have been the same as in the primary universe. all we know for sure is he could take one form or the other, and both had the same goal.

I'm surprised Mike Mignola hasn't written a sequel yet. I'd love to see him to that where Batman gets his humanity back and fights more Eltritch Abominations to protect Gotham.

@@tomreacher2352As much as they COULD make it possible, I think with a lot of the earleir scenes where they killed off like, EVERYONE, I don't think there's any reason for them to make more unless it predates this. As much as I disliked this film for this part, I wouldve liked to see more of this batman doing stuff. I also suspect they won't do anything more with this one because of this film; almost every loose end is tied up, and this seems exactly like Knightfall Protocol for this era

I just watched this today and with all the build up, I i thought his final form would look more.... intimidating? Scary? Idk i was kinda disappointed 🤷🏾‍♀️

They could have at least given him a fleshy bat symbol on his chest, this design is just a purple man-bat with no pants

The movie was actually based on a batman elseworld comic of the same name and it was created by Mike mignola the creator of hellboy they tweaked a few things for the movie but this idea didn't come straight off the dome

You have to remember that this version is based on the Cthulhu Mythos. There is no true victory in any of those stories as the various Eldritch abominations are too vast for humanity to even comprehend. They can be inconvenienced and their plans postponed but not truly defeated. Batman couldn't win without losing somehow

Batman vs supernatural are the best! But Batman AS a supernatural creature?! That ruin the whole point and fckd up!

The point is their is a limit a man can do and how the darkness needs a righteous champion.

I don't like this ending. Batman's character is all about beating his enemies with logic, planning, and skill. Not this. I do think this whole premise would have worked better as a superman movie. Superman has a huge weakness to magic. It would have been cool to see him overcome that in order to beat the old gods, considering he's got the power of a god himself. Just my take on it
