I love this movie. I know quite a few people hate on it, but I think it's a masterpiece in it's own way. It didn't try to be serious, with mysterious dialogue and plot twists etc. It excels at everything it intended to be - it's exciting, colorful, action-packed, has goofy one-liners (like the original batman tv series), and has a KILLER soundtrack

I loved the TV but didn't like this. I felt George Clooney ruined it. The problem is Arnold played an excellent campy villain but Clooney was trying to win an Oscar for best dramatic actor. I think Kilmer would have been better suited for this campier version. IMHO I felt Dolph Lundgren should have got a shot at Batman especially a campier version. Lundgren does a good job playing something serious yet campy but still making it feel intimidating.

I really love the part where Robins bike is skidding and he jumps off the bike at the tip of the finger and screams "aaaghhh" I think that was great! Also the part where batman ejects himself from the batmobile. That looked so cool. I actually really liked the costumes aswell, which is probably very controversial lol but I do think they look great except for the nipples I definitely think they shouldn't be there. Batman should've extended robin the courtesy to make that jump after all robin did rescue him from that trip to the moon in the beginning..
"Uh oh!" lmao
See the makings of a good Batman scene are present here: the Freeze vehicles are cheesy but fit a comic book style, the chase itself is not bad (at least in comparison to the rest of the movie), the score despite being a reused track from Batman Forever is still a great score by Elliot Goldenthal, the visual and sound design for the Batmobile and Red Bird are awesome in my opinion, Batman's ejection from the Batmobile and dive into Freeze's vehicle is one of the few decent action bits he does in the movie, and there are some decent angles. I mean I can't help but grin a bit at that final pose Batman strikes in this clip: very comic book accurate. Not sure why Freeze is just lying there but hey, at least he's not making a pun? Far from perfect but with this movie, I'll take what I can get since I always believe in credit where it's due. I really wish Joel Schumacher was given free rein to do what he wanted instead of being pestered by the studio to sell toys.

My golly me watching this as a kid in 1997 was awesome and now as an adult this scene is still awesome despite the negative reviews of this movie the environment of Gotham with those large statues is great this chase scene really fits that "comic book" feel to it, but not a "realistic" one like Nolan's universe this is my favorite scene of the whole movie because Batman had the power to override Robin's vehicle and always treated him like a "rookie" best part 1:21
