I've 100%-ed all the Rocksteady Arkham games and I usually keep doing challenges until I crack the top thousand. I've never even considered attempting the slide in a combat map before this video...

Best combat system in any action-adventure game, change my mind. Arkham City will forever be a masterpiece and in my opinion the best Batman story outside of a comic book

I used to be so anti-whatever-that-bat-summoning-stun-attack-is when I used to play 12 years ago; I just started playing again for the first time in years and it's my go-to when trying to get a high score. It gets a lot of points without hurting anyone (keeping them around so I can continue the combo) and gives me some space. Love it

@@rifath8152 Yeah just takes a bit of practice. For example in Origins I was having difficulty going for three "stars" and I finally pulled it off after practicing enough. This guy probably did a bunch of practicing to be as good as he is...which is Batman levels of good.

A bit late, but I discover that No Hit in all rounds gives you a Perfect Fight bonus at the end. At least it's a little easier than Freeflow all rounds.

I suck at blade dodges. Sometimes I can dodge all swings, and then sometimes I get slashed at every swing. Doesn't make sense, I do the same exact procedure : triangle, left analogue stick. I guess the PS3 has a mind of its own.

I just noticed, Blade Dodge Takedown against assassins adds 3 to your combo compared to 2 for knife thugs.

BRO'VERLORD The Freeflow REC, Freeze Blast and Explosive Gel, don't give points/combo hits. While the Bat Swarm gives 10 points per stunned enemy.

I have Batman Arkham City but I don’t have the challenges where are they and how can I find them?

My challenge maps are glitched on the Return To Arkham version of City. Even if I get the Riddler trophies that unlock the Extreme versions of all combat and predator challenges, they stay locked. But on Asylum, they are unlocked like normal. Any reason why this happens with City? Cause I never found anyone who had such a glitch. :o

Hello there, and good question. Depending on the fight, I like to take extra care with the ninjas, so I might prefer using beatdowns or the special combo takedown. Still, if I'm 100% sure I'll make it right, I won't hesitate performing the blade dodge takedown.

kidknickers hold Y/triangle on the first swipe then tap the button 3 times for the remaining swipes

From personal experience you don't need to hold Y/Triangle (keep pushing your left stick down however) let go and repeat, but can tap, let go, tap, let go, rinse and repeat kind of. I honestly look more at the actions of the thugs/ninjas, not the counter thing.

Just practice…it took me quite some time to learn it…. But it’s basically become natural to me now(yes that even includes the ninjas who are faster)…I’ve been playing Arkham city since 2011 so I have a lot of experience with it… One strange way that helped is by playing the game in hard mode…enemies are way quicker and I practiced on that! So when I went to challenges…they suddenly looked like they were slow motion to me!

The only thing i hate in Arkham City (original and maybe Return to Arkham) is that Iceberg Lounge arena, where you can't even complete that arena without been taken down. Why didn't Rocksteady just made it like WB does in Arkham Origins, where you defeat 100 punks on one arena and then it's completed?

Skinnymike Gaming Its easier without gadgets. Its harder to utilize gadget in combats effectively and efficiently. Also using gadgets earns you more bonus points. So it would be a downside to not use gadgets since it gives variation points

Hello Jam. The key to earning a lot of points in combat challenges is to focus on the variation bonuses (moves and gadgets), and also the flawless freeflow bonus. Use your gadgets, beatdowns are also very important, and try not to lose your combo.

NAM HOÀNG 68 as you can see , ground takedowns give combo counter times 75 , making it the most rewarding type of combat takedown

@@mr.h9916 2nd most rewarding actually…the best one you can do is blade dodge takedown(if there’s a knife enemy in the round then absolutely try to do the blade dodge takedown! It gives 100 points)…but yes for all other rounds that don’t have knife enemies…then yeah in that case ground takedown is the best one to do

Thank you. I always place the game on pause when done, then power down to "stand by" mode. So, each time I log back in, I was at the in game pause menu. This is why I was unable to locate the challenges anywhere. I did stumble upon them on accident from the main menu when power went out in the neighborhood and was forced to log on from the start screen. It was driving me nuts! They are brutal, btw! And you're 100% - the game is amazing and am so glad I decided to take a chance.

You have to use the special disarm and destroy attack by presssing B and Y on the Xbox controller or circle and Y on the PlayStation controller.
