Always loved Terry's suit, the rocket boots and glider the microphone in the finger tips for eaves dropping through windows and walls. The writs mounted batarang launchers and I'm not sure but I think there was also a stealth mode? Maybe.... I should rewatch to be sure

Go ahead, but do rewatch the likes of Batman: The Animated Series+The New Batman Adventures, Superman: The Animated Series, Static Shock, Gotham Girls and Justice League+JL Unlimited as well so to see the bigger picture Oh, and the movies Mask of the Phantasm, Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero, and Mystery of the Batwoman+Chase Me, and maybe even Crisis on Two Earths for an Elseworlds take on the cancelled JL: Worlds Collide interquel for the Justice League animated series and its aforementioned Unlimited follow-up.

One of the hardest Batman suits. So simple yet so cool.

The way how the batman beyond suit was developed it was amazing how it gave him enhanced strength, to amplified stamina with athletic benefits was cool.I loved how the protype suit had powerful upgrades that Bruce was able to invent the high tech suit to manifest how well it made him stronger before he was getting older as it put pressure on his heart..terry was more tougher then Bruce was to wear it...after getting weaker which sucked but I guess that day it was time for him to retire and let his son take over.

I always thought of it kinda like a streamlined hellbat suit. Not nearly as powerful but it also doesn’t kill you if you use it

This only applies in the DCAU. Because in the main continuity the suit worn by Jim Gordon, the body suit and NOT the exoskeleton is revealed to be the prototype or Mark I that eventually becomes the suit Terry McGuiness wears.

It's not, there's an earlier comic in that same run which shows Bruce using the Batman Beyond suit against Clayface and states it was one of Lucias' prototypes that he was working on. So no Gordon's suit isn't a prototype, it came after.

Batman Beyond 2: Neo Gotham Forever

A long time ago, before any origin story of this suit had been made i always theorized that this suit was made of apokoliptan tech. The coloring and technology in it just seemed to fit the theme of it so well. The scenes were we see how it connects to the flying batmobile, the fact that terry says its old but still "cutting edge" and it made sense to me; bruce isnt above using tech that belongs to his enemies. I always wondered if i was the only one to think this.

Batman Beyond - Rebirth Back at the Batcave, Bruce puts the Batsuit in the costume display gallery alongside the costumes of his former crimefighting partners and his original Batsuit that he used to wear as Batman. Reluctantly realizing that he has grown too old for crimefighting, he takes one last look at the Batcave from the top of the stairs and solemnly vows... Never again. He then shuts off the lights, and leaves his past in the darkness.

They just need to hurry up and make a movie for Batman beyond!!

A prime example of less is more.

Loved when Terry realized he is a Bruce clone

I recall bonus material from I think Mystery of the Batwoman that posited the suit is just cobbled together from existing material: -The glider wings based on Nightwings. -The invisibility from the Invisible Man episode from B:TAS after Bruce figured out how to get rid of its toxic side effects. There were explanations for the other components of the suits as well.

I always imagined the Batman Beyond suit origin as being created by Bruce Wayne incorporating design elements that Nightwing made after he left the bat family. No cape, retractable wings, all black with a bright symbol on the chest. It’s as if Bruce Wayne through the Beyond suit design was acknowledging that Nightwing grew into his own man with his own style and ideas, and by iterating on that, Bruce finally respected Dick Grayson as an equal by the end of their relationship.

This is worthy of being a movie

I still like the concept that it's a wannabe version of the Blue Beetle alien war machine as an inverse to how prior generations of Blue Beetle feel like a knockoff of Batman tech

Batman beyond is the best peice of dc media ever made.

Suit is still ahead of its time. Thanks to its simplistic design. But until now,no one can truly explain how the mouth piece works

You know the show is good when it makes the continuity instead of adapting it.

In the DCAU the suit wasn't a military prototype. It was man-made from the basics and the doc that provided Bullwhip and his lads the bionic transplants was also the one that gave the suit it's exo elements. The comics are pretty much their own continuity.

The animated series explicitly shows that the servo motors used in the Batsuit worn by Terry were developed and designed by that bionics doctor. Everything else was mostly made by Bruce.

As a fan of both spiderman and Batman growing up, Terry was essentially the perfect hybrid to me lol So I totally see how someone whos fonder of the bulkier caped crusader look would be turned off.

I just never understood why it covers his face but not his actual mouth... like its on and in his lips but his teeth can be seen. Kinda silly, liked what Rocksteady did with it in AK.

And then they had him have a weird relationship with Batgirl I always thought of Bruce Wayne as a humanitarian someone who cared about his fellow people I don't think he would have done this kind of thing in his life. Bruce ended up as a crabby old man because his sidekicks retired, Gordon and Alfred passed away, but he was still Batman until he could no longer keep up and ended his career on a sour note. And then he was all alone. Terry showed that Bruce is still the man you believed him to be. I don't have a counter argument in favour of the Batgirl relationship.

My head cannon is that the Red X suit from Teen Titans cartoon, is also a precursor to the batman beyond suit.

They need to stop with this. I loved the idea of this when it first came out, but the The Adventures Continue obviously is just a way for them to go back to the DCAU, not necessarily for them to tell good stories. They're shoehorning in so much random stuff and just creating anamolies with the continuity and crazy retcons. And the art is TRASH. I wish some of these guys, specifically Paul Dini, were working with Timm and Tucker on Caped Crusader instead.

Yeah... Gotta say, this is probably the most underwhelming power-suit in fiction. Sure, it can fly and turn invisible. But it can't fly faster than an average punk with a gun can track, and the invisibility always shorts out right when you need it. As for strength and speed... Terry gets his ass kicked by everyone he fights. 'Nuff said.

gee it's almost like the hero can't always be on top for a fight to be interesting, unless you're a comedy like one punch man, the guy can't just swoop in at mach speed, punch holes through the bad guys and fly away with no effort. plus, the suit is strong, but nowhere does it say that it makes the wearer invincible. you're just being a bit of a dick about it.
