He still puts on accents for interviews, but it seems more random now. I've had to go back to his 2000 American Psycho interviews to hear his actual accent, cause now he just keeps changing it. Even in an interview for Exodus he decided to be cockney for no reason.

Wow Bale did alot of research on Batman, much in the same way Hugh Jackman did for Wolverine. Which is probably why their portrayals felt so genuine and likened to the comics. He really dealt deep into the psychology of Batmans character. I really hope Ben Affleck does the same.

I agree and Bale's my favorite thus far, but Bale knows the basics of the character. Which was enough. But you dont have to worry about Affleck doing research because he's been a Bat-fan his whole life. He's probably the most hardcore fan out of all of them.

The comics Bale started out with might explain his voice. In those novels - especially Morrison's Arkham Asylum - Batman was especially stylized. He was drawn as a shadow or a demon, and thus, he spoke like one. Arkham Asylum even stylized the lettering in the speech bubbles to characterize everyone's voices.

The DP Shane Hurlbut, definitely did something wrong when he interrupted a rolling scene. But I thought Christian Bale was completely wrong. It shouldn’t be okay to call someone names, threaten them with violence and make them feel miserable for minutes on end for making a mistake. But at the same time, even thought Bale was in the wrong it made me respect him more. It just shows how seriously he takes his art, and I wish more people had the same amount of dedication.

Liam Neeson was amazing in this film. I agree the Joker was great, but ppl overlook the Ra's al Ghul character. He was way more three dimensional then the Joker or Bane.

Its just amazing how much Bale prepares for his Roles and I mean not just physically. Dude never had any intrest in Batman before and now he has more knowledge and a deeper understanding of the Character than some of us lol

Well actually, if you watched the interview, Bale said he became genuinely interested with Batman when he was lent Arkham Asylum in the early 2000s. That was before Batman Begins. He still obviously did a lot of prep and whatnot when actually joining the film, but it’s true that he had an interest even before it.

I got 20 pounds of muscle of muscle in one year. I was skinny as hell, just like Bale was during/after The Machinist, though not as severe. Bale probably had loads of supplements and a proper place to work out, along with a professional trainer, so I think it's quite doable, especially for someone as dedicated as Christian!:)
