Deathstroke here is basically a better and faster Robin. The developers took Robin's move set and made it better. Unlike Robin, Deathstroke has a disarm and destroy which I wish each character in the Arkham series had. It just makes fighting those shields and stun batons so much easier rather than avoiding them over and over again.

Yes, a lot of the newer DLC have a few challenge packs like that, and you can use every character for each one (Red Hood, Harley, Robin, etc.)

You can actually do that, you know. You need the Initiation DLC, then select the final map and it includes Shiva as a sort of boss enemy un the last round.

2:27 loved that synergy. How he engages the guy with the knife, but just casually knocks over the assassin behind her as he does it, just so she doesn't get any ideas. Beautiful.

M.Azing Batman has a triple counter that gives 2:22 a run for its money. What Batman does is he punches 1 guy in front of him in the face and kicks the other 2 guys at his sides, essentially doing the splits. It sounds way less cool when I say it but trust me, the counter is badass!

Sitting through riddler's bullshit is significantly more difficult than mastering the combat

I think an interesting DLC (similar to Catwomans single player story) would be a short story showing Deathstroke investigating the Batman prior to the events of AOrigins, clashing with a few other assassins in the process (Deadshot for prefereance), and showing how he tracked Batman to the Final Offer and ending with you fighting Batman, (with a alternative ending of Deathstroke winning the fight, if you are good enough a player)

I feel like they limited Deathstroke so much in this game. While I love the design, and the Deathstroke boss battle is easily my favorite part of the game, I feel like they made him fight like he's part of Batman's crew. At least as a playable character that is. Breaking arms/legs, non-lethal ballistic pellets, only using his Bo Staff. He's the world's deadliest assassin, yet they don't allow you to use his guns or his sword, even though the bad guys can slash at you with knives and use guns of their own. I feel like they could of made Deathstroke really stand apart from the other playable characters (past and present) by actually adding some lethality to his moveset. I wanted to feel like I was playing as a villain that has no qualms with killing his opponents, whereas here I feel like it's just Robin doing a Deathstroke cosplay lol. Considering it's a plot point that Bats doesn't use guns and lethal weaponry, they had a golden opportunity to give us a fresh and original experience, yet all we really got was slightly modified Robin moveset and one or two semi-unique gadgets. Hell he even has certain animations that are virtually the same as Batman's (his Disarm Takedowns for example) and several counters, strikes, takedowns and even one of his gadgets are blatant copy/paste jobs from Robin's moveset. They really dropped the ball with Deathstroke. On a lighter note, the guy/gal playing this is a fucking God at this game lol.

r0ckoman Lol, not necessaily. They could of just did it the same way Assassin's Creed does it, where there is no visible (or just very little) blood or gore when someone is stabbed or shot. They do a pretty good job of showing extreme violence without it being gory all throughout the Arkham games, they definitely could of made it work if they didn't take the lazy way out. It doesn't have to be Ninja Gaiden bloody to work hahaha.

It might have something to do with that post-credits ending. His Bo staff is the only thing Waller brings him. Perhaps as a deal of his release he has to use less-than-lethal force.

Don113 These side-missions don't effect the story though, and I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be him before Batman captured him. I think it's more likely that they were just lazy as shit with Deathstroke lol. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the game is fantastic, but I think we deserved a lot more than what we got, as far as the character himself goes even excluding the lethality issue.

I think it's after, since he has his swords before he fights Batman but not after. I do wish that they made his moveset different from Robin's. After playing as Deathstroke for a while, the only discernible difference is that he's a little more brutal than Robin is.

The fact that this video has any dislikes whatsoever makes no sense. What's there to dislike? It's 1080p, has no distractions (voice-over, intro/outro logos, extra music, etc.), and delivers exactly what the title advertises. On top of that, it's a flawless fight.

I'm not trying to take anything away because you are the badass of all badasses when it comes to Batman Akrham footage but you would've got more points if you did more ground strike finishers to downed enemies, its easy to go on a combo and counter streak but its challenging to implement ground finishers with those combos because you have to get the timing down just right or anyone can knock you out of a good freeflow. Since Slade is a mock version of Robin he's been cursed with one of the slowest ground finishers compared to Batman and Catwoman.

I think it's more his hesitance to use Beatdown to increase the combo multiplier against the armored enemies. This guy (/watch?v=HCMnkxYohnY) focuses on that and gets a higher score at the end, though he isn't as consistent with the blade dodge takedowns.

Blade Dodge Takedowns are the highest score value with Ground Takedown in second place. The Ground Takedown takes too long to complete and leaves you vulnerable to attack. It's probably why BAV avoided them after a little bit.

That combo at 1:39 and 6:02 tho!

The Batclaw is one of Batman's first gadgets, genius. He just didn't have it on him when entering the Asylum...

Well, technically, in his comic book iterations, he uses swords as much as he uses his staff. Also, his moveset is deceptively similar to Robin's, but is more of a mix between his and Robin. This is especially noticeable in Predator maps. Besides, the sword would mean he'd instakill everything and not give up the normal free flow combat experience, where thugs need a few hits to be taken down. Besides, it's a TEEN rated game, swords and killing everything would just be too gruesome I feel like.

Hands down this was absolutely badass

I wonder where that score ranks. That is truly amazing stuff there. I hate when people say these Arkham games are too easy when there's the challenge modes where skilled players can really put their skills on display in impressive showings like this.

I love the aerial attack finish!!

The 100 to 1 is a great challenge map and one of my top five combat challenge maps of all three games. But the problem is that it's only 100 enemies to fight and you don't get to fight Venom thugs, enforcers and/or armored enforcers. I wish you could fight an infinite number of enemies with those three others I mentioned. But at the same time it allows the harder enemies to show up later on in the challenge. Also Deathstroke is great to play as and I'll take him over Robin any day. 

I didn't cry, but I felt a little water come to my eyes. That was Beautiful.

Can I just say I kinda low key love it that everyone knows who Deathstroke is to the point they use his real name more than his nickname? It's just such a violation of normal comic conventions that it stands out wonderfully.

I'd thank the Teen Titans cartoon for that. He was an incredibly menacing villain in that, and presented as a dark parallel to Batman with his twisted mentor-like rivalry with Robin.

Sometimes I wonder if BAV sets up his recording software, sits down and takes a few (maybe many) tries to get his video to the good standard he wants with no hits or misses, or if he gets bored one day, plays some Batman, dominates the shit out of it naturally, then realizes his cam was on.

I love it's the 100 man challenge and Slade is all: "What's the opposite of overwhelmed? Because that's what I'm feeling right now..."

@@romansionis2470 death battle, despite their numerous incorrect calls for fights this is the one they get right. Deadpool is less skilled however much more powerful. It would be virtually impossible for Slade to kill Deadpool. He could drop a grenade in his stomach, and deadpool would still be back for more.

Why can't we use Deathstroke's sword. It would be better to have the sword at our disposal too. But much like Batman's shock gloves.

you're the best batman arkham gamer I had ever seen you're awesome,more than 300 hits, you're really great and by the way deathstroke is an amazing character with cool combos.

Things I learned from you: 1. Diversify combat moves 2. Don't be afraid to deploy specials (if you're good you can earn those back easy) 3. Use weapon destroy on guns and riot shields, mostly.
