Why not do an Arkham episode for Azrael after Arkham Knight where he gets his revenge on The Order of Saint Dumas, it's an Arkham Episode we should have gotten regardless of what choice Azrael had in whether he breaks the Sword or he kills Batman. Id have it that we start with it established that since Arkham Knight's Events Azrael has been on a restlessness hunt for any cell of The Order of Saint Dumas, they see him as rogue and they've sent Agents after Azrael but he's brutally killed them all, and he's now wanting to take the fight to the Order's Leaders in a church in Founders Island, a side mission would also be in his Arkham Episode where while you're looking for The Order's Leaders ur Distracted and have to dispense with members of Deacon Blackfire's cult who are causing chaos in Gotham Preaching to God (Deacon Blackfire's in Prison) etc

That's a good point, would've been fun skins. Red Hood and Nightwing both didn't really get any fun suits, Tim had some but it still wasn't very expansive

The worst part is, Tim and Dick's batsuits (the 70s and Iconic suits) are both in AK, but on Bruce instead.

@@tfordham13 Here's my pitch: initial fight has him fighting Blackfire cultists in the streets to interrogate one of them over this "ghost of batman" he claims to have run from. Cut to stealth section and then predator map of him infiltrating the cathedral base of the Order of St Dumas. Have some of the members there talk about Azrael as a 'dissapointment' for failing in his sacred duty. Some banter about about how with death of the Bat and the dissapearenceof the Demons Head, it's the Order's time to retake Gotham, only for the idea to be shot down as "we are not the only group seeking to control the city from its shadows." Have confrontation in one of the main sanctum with the leader starting the boss fight by mentioning that Michael wasn't the first, or last to claim the title of Azrael. Que one of the members wearing his suit from Arkham City. Depending on if it's a fight or predator map, new Azrael either dissapears in smoke and needs to be taken down three times, or has access to vantage points to hide in the predator map. Final cinematic has Azrael confront the leader about how it was St Dumas that failed in its aims as "the Order has never conquered death like the Batman has." End with hint that Michael is setting off on his own/creating his own Knightfall inspired suit.

Can't really call this a "rewrite", because it's not using the original episode as a foundation at all, but I had my interpretation of "Matter of the Family" I wanted to share. I enjoyed the episode, but I would like to, instead of being an experienced Batgirl vs a yet again Joker, have it set even earlier in Barbara's time with the cape, matter of fact, *first day!* It's basically a challenge predator map with a story. That story being; C list villain Killer Moth, in an attempt to earn some respect in the underworld and start his criminal protection racket, kidnaps the Gotham Mayor, Bruce Wayne, and Commissioner Gordon, and holds them for ransom. The challenge would be, Barbara is just in a cheap costume. Very little, if any, gadgets, no detective vision, nothing. She needs to stealthy take down Moth's thugs one by one before taking him down. Thankfully, the thugs are street low lives that Moth hired on a IOU from the random money, so they're not very smart, nor entirely loyal. You can even have some comedy from overhearing Moth argue with his goons.

I love that idea also something I want to mention is how the rest of the playable characters in knight besides from azrazal have skins but nothing is ever released for batgirl to wear

Okay, I know you didn't touch Matter of Family because of how far removed it was from the story, but I honestly have some ideas on how to change it. Well more like 1 idea. Barbara shouldn't be teamed with Tim during that campaign. Firstly, I'm not even sure he would've been active at that point. City makes it sound like Tim is pretty green as a hero, but he'd also have to have been Robin for at least a few years to be in those flashbacks. But secondly, it's a huge missed opportunity. We hear all about Jason's time as Robin. Whether in your version or the canon version, he's one of the main villains. And yet we never *see* him as Robin, outside of the torture scenes. This is our opportunity to see that. To see how Jason was different before the torture. We see the cocky arrogant side of him, as well as his recklessness.

Although I personally really like the story of Arkham night, I can’t deny that I really like this alternate take on the game you presented. And I specially think these DLC stories are an improvement.

I like your changes to Red Hood's story. My biggest nitpick was them using his Origins look rather than one in City. The Mask in Origins was removable which is much easier to fake compared to being burnt onto his face. I'd tweak the man in charge of the stealth section to being the white suited Black Mask leading newer members of the gang. Jason recognizes to be another goon and tortures out the info where his real boss is. The Roman Sionis in the next sequence would be in his Arkham City design. And why not add some missable dialuoge on Mr. Hammer and Mr. Sickle still being on his payroll after the Arkham City dlc.

I remember reading a theory that the Black Mask that Red Hood killed was just a decoy since Black Mask has been known to use them. Plus, as you said, his mask should be burned into his face at that point.

Ya it made sense for his look in Origins because he still roughly young (wouldve been better to have Joker burm the mask on sionis) But i like ur idea even add a detail "Sionis thinks he'd be able to pass off a think? Man can barely walk past a salad bar and hmnit have a sample!!"

Great work Really like the idea with how you connected all of the episodes together if we did live in a other world where this happened we could of had replaced the matter of family story with another episode being the conclusion to the story set up in the arkham episodes with damian being the playable character instead

I think it would be super cool if they did something like in the Arkham City DLC where the perspective switches between Batman and Damian and at the end there could be a predator section that leads into a boss fight where you play as both Batman and Damian

Idk if this is too much of a rewrite but if Robin and Babs are still on their honeymoon, there could be a plot with Bane’s goons as I believe their trip is to Santa Prisca. Bane probably wouldn’t be included based on his little story, but maybe his goons could be doing something on their own.

A re write of A Matter Of Family where Jason takes the place of Tim. It makes no sense narratively why Tim is Robin, it messes up the time line. It could have even ended with the capture of Jason

I agree it would have played PERFECTLY with the Arkham Knight character giving us some time with Jason as Robin, except the capture at the end I feel that's unnecessary and we do see how he got captured in the Arkham-verse comic

Again, I'm a bit late here, but I really enjoyed the rewrites. It was cool that you tied it to your continuity and not to the actual Arkham Knight story, I do like it how you kind of set up Under the Red Hood, despite everyone in the Bat family already knowing that Jason is alive and will probably realise that it's him and could potentially set up another game. I also liked it that you gave Harley's episode some attention despite not really needing to. It could have been cool if Batgirl was touched up upon but totally agree that it isn't really connected to both Arkham Knight stories. I think if I had to do a story for Batgirl (and had free reign), I'd probably have to be set maybe a year or so after Knight. At this point, I'd maybe even allow Barbara to be Batgirl again, much like in Gotham Knights, where she's regained the ability of her legs through some sort of tech. (I think this is explained in Gotham Knights with a conversation with Jason. I think.) Anyway, I'd maybe have her following up on leads about this Red Hood. It could be that Batman has his suspicions but is keeping quiet or even have the story take place where Batman has gone dark and his last known location is some sort of warehouse. Maybe have this start off with a bit of a duo thing with Robin or Tim's new name and Batgirl, Tim most likely keeping an eye on Barbara since her regaining her legs is a new thing and he may not trust the tech fully yet. Eventually, after some fighting some goons, maybe there's a few leads that forces them to split up to cover more ground, you could even include maybe the new Robin, Damien, and Nightwing searching out other clues over the comms. Anyway, everyone splits up, and Barbara would somehow end up at the place where Batman is and either have him be in a trap or more interestingly, he turned his transponder off and went dark himself, this would most likely be because he's meeting with The Red Hood. Here, I'd maybe have it that Batman would already know that it's Jason, as I probably say it would be pretty obvious, if not to the Bat family, it would be to Batman. Here, maybe we could have Barbara sneaking through some vents, listening to them speak, Batman trying to convince Jason that's its not too late to "come home" and Jason stating that "crime in Gotham will never stopped but it can be controlled" even going to the point of saying that crime in Gotham has been the lowest its ever been or something, blah, blah, blah. Soon, Barbara would arrive, maybe after silently taking down some goons with Sniper rifles. This could be a small cutscene where Barbara even tries to convince Jason, which may look like it's about to work. But then maybe have Black Mask come in, staging a revolution to take back his throne and try to kill Red Hood. Here, I'd maybe have the three of them team up, maybe for the first and only time in the Arkham series to have a triple character combo on enemies, after that Black Mask is beaten, but Jason goes to kill him, both Batman and Batgirl try to talk him out of it, at first it doesn't seem to work but maybe have Batgirl have the final word, in Arkham Knight it always seemed to be the case that Jason seemed to have a bit of a soft spot for Barbara, probably with what the Joker did to her and so would spare Black Mask, but still showing off that rage, maybe he breaks a few bones instead. After this, maybe the three have a few words and maybe offer Jason a hand to come home, but is refused, maybe saying something like "I have no home left" or "Gotham is my home now" before leaving. Batman and Batgirl could have a few words. Maybe even have Batman say that it's good to see her back, and she then maybe says something cliché like "Good to be back." They both walk off with Red Hood still watching them from the shadows. Yeah, it's not as great or as detailed, but this is what I'd write if I had a gun to my head and allowed each character to have a connection to this story. I'm sure someone else would probably make a better story here. Or maybe you'd prefer how Batgirl's story already is in Arkham Knight.

A Red Hood retelling but with Nightwing or Tim Drake in the protagonist role opposing Jason Todd is something I've seen people discuss and want (outside of Titans Season 3) for the past couple of years now.

So Black Mask doesn’t die in your story. Wow bold move.😊

It would be cool if red hood's episode is locked until you complete the other missions

I LOVE how you made the DLC stories post-Knight all form a slightly cohesive plot. Such a good way to make this work.

I kind of wish for the nightwing fight for Harley Quinn had more acrobratics sine night wing was a acrobatic and so harley was a good gymnast and almost could have been in the Olympics or was in the Olympics.

Maybe have a Damian Wayne dlc, he going after slade after reports that he escaped Arkham. Bruce told him to be careful and knowing Damian he’s as stubborn as his father but no lethal kills. His combat will be like Batman with the sword at the end of Arkham city but he only does non lethal blows When slade appears told him he met his grandfather and he wanted to be the head of the league but Damian is someone better he’s Robin. It’s up to both him and his father to decide together what’s going to happen.

Honestly since you left out batgirl I’d recommend checking out knightwing01’s rewrite of that dlc it actually makes it go from disconnected to a fleshed out proper prequel to arkham knights story using Jason that I think you’d be able to fit into the world you made with your rewrite and continuing the theme of the dlc aswell

If I wrote an Arkham knight sequel that tied into your continuity, I would use the court of owls as the main villains, Prometheus and Great White Shark are side villains, and I would also introduce Batman's other group The Outsiders into this universe since I always felt that the members of the outsiders are also essential members of the bat family

If you’re still struggling, my best advice is to basically forget about counters and special combo moves unless absolutely necessary. Focus solely on critical strikes, that’s how I beat it after the struggle

I think, since you did Arkham bonds, you should do an Arkham Knight sequel, honestly

I always said I would've preferred if Arkham Knight got a major story expansion that they worked on for a while rather than a bunch of (imo) short glorified challenge maps with a story.

I do enjoy the rewrites but man I still really hate how they did Tim in the Arkham universe. It's not really Tim, it's more a mix of Dick and Jason than actually being Tim. But that's a problem I have with Arkhamverse more than your rewrites which do work really well

No, that wasn't the Arkham staff. At this point I'm convinced there either currently is some unwritten rule over at DC that Nightwing always gets trashed, or that Dan DiDio managed to get his grubby dickbeaters on every aspect of DC properties when he was there (Iirc, it was well-known that DiDio despised Nightwing, Wally West, & multiple other characters from that generation of heroes, hence why we got the awfulness that was Ric Grayson & why the REAL Wally was written out of continuity for so long). It's been that way for years. I do not know why, but by & large, Nightwing always gets shit on, in almost every piece of media he is in. They will take every chance they can get to talk about how hot he is, but the instant you wanna point out that he's prob in the top 10-15 best fighters in DC, is the best leader in DC, is a damn good detective in his own right, & is so agile he can dodge machine-gun fire at near point-blank range, nobody at DC has any idea what you're talking about.

Huge pet peeve is how Red Hood's episode doesn't tell you when it takes place. I always assumed it happens after Knight, due to Jason swapping to a red mask during his stealth fight and "say hi to Joker for me." Essentially him rising up in Batman's absence.
