This is WAY harder then it looks. I mean hard is for children but this is WAY beyond nightmare. I am trying to get all AR challenges with all characters and cars on 3 stars but maybe I will reconsider after one week and only 6 or 7 challenges done (maybe 10)...

Managed to do it 2 times with other vehicle and the original batmobile has made it hard to control the vehicle from losing control.

So I'm not the only one loosing my sanity playing this track? Good.

You are not the only!

Powerslide on every turn, hold it for a good while and turn into it at first but quickly push the analog stick into the opposite direction to stabilize the drift, and hold it there. The timer slows down with a Powerslide drift and gives you a chance to catch up. Once you're done with the drift, quickly use the Batmobile's boost. After a Powerslide, you refuel the Batmobile's boost and two things happen: time slows down and you get back fuel to boost with. I managed a time of 1:11:59. My thumbs were burning more than that rubber. Side Note: the last three turns of the track, the first of the last, skip the U-turn at the end of the main road past the police cars. Instead, head immediately to the left of a parked car past those same police cars and you'll get to the lighthouse's finish line faster. Now go burn some rubber (thumbs)!

I finally just did it last night. Drifting is big in these race maps this month.

God, I hate this racetrack. Took me forever to beat this dang thing. Thanks to your video I was able to get it. I just wish instead of this, we would have gotten a third Combat map in this Challenge Map Pack 3 DLC

+Jacob Gerwig And push your control stick in the opposite way of the turn (i.e. left turn push the control stick right, this will maintain your heading so you can drift longer) I finally got but not by much, you'll also need this drive style in the 1960's map pack, especially the 3 lap batcave race.

Wow! This batmobile skin looks great in the gameplay! Thanks for sharing, Batman Arkham Videos! I just hope they release an update that fixes the targeting priority when using combo takedowns and disarm/destroy in combat challenges! For example, I always seem to target a normal thug rather than a Medic even when he is in front of me.

Geometry tells us the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Arkham Knight tells us the shortest distance is to powerslide as much as possible to arbitrarily slow the the clock down.

So awesome.

I hope that eventually you show every racetrack as every alternate Batmobile and every challenge map as every alternate character!

this just makes me want more Batmobile's, personally though id much rather have the 1940s Batmobile, that or the one from Dark Knight Returns which i know is bloody massive but i still think that would be so much fun. 1940s for sure though.

Batman: Arkham Classic

My question is how do you extend your drift for so long. I know how to drift. Brake steer into turn then counter steer but is he tapping the break to make it last so long? Can anyone explain that please and thank you

Finding this hard without a contorlleler and just keyboard, not being able to make minute adjustments with analogue is hard, but this helps alot. Would be sick to play this with a sim wheel

Gotta say, the fact that the timer slows down when drifting may be the dumbest mechanic I've ever seen. I literally just got done holding the brake button down through the entire race, slip sliding the car every direction, turning a 360 instead of taking the turn in the right direction, and still got a better time than when I run the course smoothly and quickly.

Dumbest mechanic? Maybe if you barely use it/suck, but it's what makes the races enjoyable. There's just a small learning curve to understand the basics.

did it with all the cars. AK batmobile is bouncy but generally handleable 89 batmobile is more sturdy and thus not bouncy but drifts awkwardly 60s batmobile feels alot like AK but drifts at a larger turn radius 2016 batmobile is one of the worst because of how long it is; it is more probable to hit corners and drift less efficiently the tumbler batmobile is by far the best; the turn radius is small, the drifting is on point, and its heavy so objects or hitting corners will not disorient it at all. got 1:10 in my first try the original arkham batmobile is the absolute worst one; the thing is featherweight ESPECIALLY in the front, any slight bump in the road will make it go airborne so your turns are all fucked up bc you can be drifting then suddenly catch air in the front (causing you to go straight) then when it catches it over compensates. bc its so light in the front pretty much everything will make you lose control. hitting a corner, no matter how lightly, will turn the whole car 90° if not a full 180°. objects cars and walls slow you down immensely. did i already say the drifting is atrocious bc the front end will catch air from light bumps in the road? the thing is made of cardboard. it took me about 4x as long to get the 3 stars with it as it took me the total amount for all the others. this car should be called the original arkham batwing with how much it wants to fly with the slightest imperfections of the road. over all, tumbler, 89, and AK batmobiles were the easiest. drift for most corners, boost after most corners, and skip the u turn at the end and you'll get 1:10s easy

BAK coming out for PC today! Photomode, DLC, big head mode and character selection for challenge maps too! Just spreading the word.

Migu I don't think it's your rig, I mean look at MGS5 PP, people could run that game with a low end build

Could I get some advice on drifting? Should I push the analog stick all the way in a certain direction, or sort of "edge" it in the direction I'm drifting? It seems that when I just push on the stick, the Batmobile leans too far to one side, and will either spin out, or its tail-end will hit something in my path. I ask, because in the video, BAV seems to be able to stay fairly straight while still drifting. Sorry for the long-winded explanation :/.

+You're Pretty Good for longer drifts you need to push the stick in the direction that you want to go and, without releasing the brake button (PS4 = square, Xbox One = X), change the direction of the stick afterwards. It's a little tricky, but you'll get used to it.

How did you make the batmobile transform into battle mode in the showcase screen?

I always wonder when I do this that timer on top when you drift Go's green is that kinda a penalty?

i was like bruh, how do i suck this bad? i'm doing perfect lines and still over 4 seconds off the beat, what is going on? then i read the comments and realize that the timer slows down when drifting and do 1:12 on the first try. what a convoluted mechanic.

I love the colorscheme .. But just less logos , I would like to see a Lego version of this actually

I've tried at least 30 times and nothing.Any tips BAV (sorry if I ask but it seems like even with the video I still fail)?

Is there an exact date for when the BvS skin and batmobile drop?

After watching this video and learning you have to drift more, i beat the challenge right away. Its weird cause i thought drifting for too long will waste time, go figure 🤷🏾‍♂️

Took like thirty tries but I finally beat it. Beat it with the 1966 themed Batmobile.

Got in 13.54 seconds. Not very hard if you love drifting. Very challenging and love this track. Hope they make more 1 lap tracks like this.

Try practicing in the open world. Holding break and moving your stick to which ever direction you want to drift in. Personally it didnt take me much time to learn. Im pretty decent with the BatMobile.

I would not be willing to say that the 'shortcut' is quicker. My best time, of around 1:11 was hit without taking that shortcut. You can drift all the way around the ramp, and continue drifting all the way up to the fence at the beginning of the road up to the end. I took the shortcut on most of my runs, but get better times on the runs where I didn't take the shortcut. I 3 *'d this with every car.

To be fair - this track was freaking awful...

Hi guys does anyone know, why I only have 53/54 stars in batmobile races? I cleared all 18 race with 3 stars and even bonus points (seconds), and at the top it still shows only 53/54.

is the game optimized enough?

I'm gonna call this skin, Princess Rosalina skin, Blond hair and blue cyan dress yeeeeess.

you didn't use the shortcut but still managed under 1:15?!! sheesh

this is how the batman arkham videos died (over 10 videos a week on GTA series channel and only 1 video per every 2 weeks)

Spent a half hour getting 1:18, unable to figure out how to get a better time. Come online to watch a video and realize... drifting slows the clock down? I'm not sure where the game explained that, lol. EDIT: Got it after practicing drifting for a little bit. The real key powerslide areas is that huuuuge turn at 1:44 and the final turn before the finish line. If you can reliably powerslide those really well the rest you can flub.

I am completing the race with no mistakes and taking the same route he did and I cannot three stars. I'm having a hard time not getting pissed lol

I was literally less than 10m from the finish and the game decided to start loading therefore stuffing up my drift! Most frustrating fucking thing in this game I don't know why rocksteady felt the need to make it a "seamless open world" if there are random loading things while you're in the middle of playing the game!

Don’t understand why they made the batmobile feel like driving on ice

The drift slows the timer!? They don't tell you that. I memoried the course after 20 tries and did it perfectley but was always off. Now I know the stupid trick.

This track is so fucking dumb lmao. After the ramp, I just held down the square button and got three stars.

They should let gamers design and upload their own tracks like they do in Hitman games. But then they wouldn't be able to milk us.

What a dumb challenge. Instead of encouraging players to go as fast as possible we are incentivized to abuse drifting to slow down the timer to get a faster time.
