It's the way his voice stutters and strains as he talks about killing. It's like we're right there, watching him sink the blade into someone.

I absolutely love this vocal performance. Each pause he takes adds all the more weight to it. Each line is delivered perfectly. The writing is also absolutely on point. I especially like the line delivery of “a three, a four, a five, a six, A DAMN SEVEN!….. his straight flush ended me there.”

So..........it was really penguin's fault.

Losing his parents and money were stressors, the vagrant trying to mug him was the trigger.

It's the inside of his eyelid. The reason being is so that every time he blinks the scar will rub against his eye ball irritating it, reminding him of the irritation batman caused him. He explains it better in the comics

Victor Zsasz is such an amazing and very unique villain and my ultimate favorite.

I'd imagine the same reason why none of Batman's other villains have been executed: Each time he goes to trial, he is declared insane and thus not in control of his actions and shipped to Arkham.

This story tells us~ DO NOT GAMBLING!

If I ever met someone like Zsasz, I'd back away from him and run.

Victor Zsasz is definitely my Favorite Batman Villain. I'm even Roleplaying as him.

I definitely agree the joker can be terrifying but he is still gimmicky enough that you can believe he wouldn’t exist in the real world. But Zsasz seems like a real serial killer that would exist, no gimmicks no powers just a psychopath who tallies his victims.

Props to Voice Actors everywhere. Whoever that guy is, keep him on speed dial for any new roles for Victor Zsasz.

​@softwarelivre2389 I genuinely think that Chris Messina would have been great as a more comic book accurate depiction of Zsasz but the decision to make him a Comedic sidekick to Black Mask was poorly thought out (just like making the film's version of Cassandra Cain more like Harper Row instead).

I really don't think Zsasz is insane. One case where a villain is truly evil because he likes being evil. If Batman ever got rid of his no kill rule, he would definitely have put Zsasz down since Gotham, for some random reason, won't.

Great voice acted for Zsasz. I enjoyed the part he gamble cards with penguin and that part that he is rob even he got none. So a new purpose is created for him....everything die for mark and salvation....

Yeah, probably. Also, there are so many more reasons to question the intelligence level of Gotham residents. How can Harley Quinn, a trained pyschologist, fall for Joker? When I tried that with mine it didn't work. There's nothing unique about him IMO. And why do ppl keep falling for Scarecrow's tricks??? Why not send someone there dressed in a hazard suit or a gas mask? There's probably a bunch of other questions that would leave us with even more questions than answers.

@@gordonpeterson678 In fairness Harley should never have been put in that situation from what I know of her backstory. Arkham absolutely should not have put a beginner together alone with the Joker. Got a point about scarecrow though. Comes a certain point where his fear toxin as a gas shouldn't work anymore.

More than that, I think. Looking at his Character Trophy, I attempted to figure out what Zsasz's body count was by counting his tally marks, but I lost count at 200.

It's a necessity in comics to keep the villians alive. On the other hand the movie versions should have no problem with killing. For example in the new TDKR movie when the cops charge the mercs. Batman takes out the enemy tumblers , but doesn't shoot at the armed mercs, which costs a lot of cops their lives as they run into the gunfire. Butron got it right in the 89 version.

You can have a 3 of hearts, a 5 of hearts, a 6 of hearts, a 6 of spades and a king of spades on the table. Then Zsasz would have the six of diamonds and the six of clubs and Cobblepot would have the 4 of hearts and the 7 of hearts. Not impossible.

Zsasz said he expected Penguin to play fair, which indicates that he knew Penguin cheated. I'm surprised not many people caught onto that.

Hugo only interviewed villains that had use to him, like The Joker and Penguin. Which is why we don't see interviews for Poison Ivy, Killer Croc and even Mr. Zsasz.

He was later revealed to have eaten Jason Todd's parents when his dad double crossed him. (Later retconned) In his first appearance in Batman: TAS, he intercepts and blows up a prisoner transport. Kidnaps a prisoner. Walks into prison disguised and kidnaps another. (All without leaving any witnesses) then frames Harvey Bullock and successfully sets a trap for him, and Batman.

When they were changed, it broke the formatting and threads, making old comments sound confusing. From the context, I think I was replying to someone who said Killer Croc was a dumb brute. This comment must be a reply to another comment I wrote since back in the day KZread comments had very small character limits. I wrote how he started off as a criminal mastermind and gave examples, and is inconsistently portrayed as a mastermind and a dumb brute. And yeah, Jason Todd's original origin was that Killer Croc ate his parents. It was later retconned, and Jason Todd's father was now a low level gangster killed by Two Face and that he never knew his mother.

Oddly enough, he is in Lego Batman 2. The same Lego franchise that changed all the Nazis from Indiana Jones into generic soldiers and toned down the more violent scenes from Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter. Wrap your head around that.

Penguin was clearly cheating. Victor had a four of a kind which where all 6s. Penguin getting a straight flush with 3,4,5,6,7 means there are about 5 6s. There should only be 4 6s.

+finalfantasy8911 I would argue that that's what the law is for; keeping people in line. There are plenty of people, with or without the presence of a supernatural influence, who do horrible things. Some people either, a) do not care about getting caught, by the law or punished by God, b) are desperate/suffering enough to commit a crime, or c) are suffering from mental issues and cannot distinguish between reality and their own psychosis. Religion is important in creating a sense of community, morality, and can give a sense of security, but yes it is often used as an excuse to violate human rights, which is shameful.

Uh, actually most of them, including Joker, aren't mentally ill, they have personality disorders. And even the ones with actual mental illnesses wouldn't qualify as insane, so they'd still be able to be put on death row.

Ssktjl sucks I miss you Arkham city

If I had to nitpick the Arkhamverse my biggest complaint would be how Zsasz, Killer Croc, and Bane were just turned into dumb brutes. All of these villains were criminal masterminds in their first appearances who pulled off some ingenious schemes. But I guess Dini and the developers didn't want them eclipsing Riddler, Strange, Joker, and others.
