One of the campiest characters of this show-and THAT is saying something. :p Victor Buono, who played King Tut, was a classically-trained actor who starred in Shakespearean productions and received an Oscar nomination for “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?” Despite this pedigree, though, Buono loved the role and came back several times precisely *because* Tut was so ridiculously over the top. He even happily bragged that being on “Batman” gave him the excuse to do something he’d been told never to do-OVERACT! :p Thanks for the laughs, Mr. Buono. :D

i loved the hammy acting by sid haig as the apothecary. i wish they'd had him in more episodes.
You should have left in the Batusi dance sequence. It's a classic.

some remarkably good acting in this series which was basically a live action comic book
Egghead, Lord and Lady Fog, King Tut - holy shooting guest stars, Batman!
King Tut, False Face and Egghead were among my favorite Batman Villains in the Dozier-Verse.
He was only 28 when he 1st played this role

The only Bat villain Steve Martin ever sang about. (I think)
You cut out the best part! When Batman and Nefertiti dance the Batusi!
6:37 holy Star Trek sound effect, Batman! 😁🤣
Nefertiti played by Ziva Rodann.
I went to school with a guy named Josh Baker in Holland Michigan and he looked exactly like this.
He's so hammy and I like it.
I was pointed to this old Batman villain. I was not disappointed. Thanks for posting this.
I love this guy....
thanks for this, love him!
king-Tut 4 president
THANK YOU SUPER SAM HAD A LOT OF FUN WATCHING THESE XXXXXX
Loved him as King Tut.
I love it when the people on stage with Buono are trying not to laugh.
4:26 He was about to make that actress break character with his over the top delivery so he just went with it 😂
King tuts acting is on point
Just imagine, in the future, The Avengers and all other super hero movies will look how this does to us now.
My favorite villain in the entire series. I wish he'd been added to the comics back then, but alas.
❤king tut,& lee Meriwether
6:18 Yo that Egyptian DJ is the GOAT! He had "BAT" music ALREADY cued up before King Tut even called for it. He knows his crowds 💯 with Spidey sense precision.
Ok after King Tut was ejected from the batmobile, there was no reason for Batman to punch him
I remember I had a nightmare about king tut watching a Batman episode when I was about 6
5:41 me when my package is taking too long and I have to call them

How to avoid Arkham. Pretend you've regained your sanity.
Good childhood memories.I ask to myself if Maxie Zeus of comics is was inspired by King Tut because both are delusional madmans that think are gods.

My understanding is DC couldn't use Tut since he was created for Fox studios. Maxie was a work-around. I've never seen stories with him but understand he's played seriously. So whoever wanted to utilize Tut clearly missed the point.
Victor Buono is the best 👌
Victor Buono.
Another important note, the Tut episodes were written by Stanley Ralph Ross.
1 good thing you can say about Tut he has a HOT chick in Nefertiti.

If you have a handsome appearance & great personality, Nefertiti would desire some quality private time with you! My 4th ex-girlfriend Kim Beaudry ONCE told me: "BLONDES tease, brunettes please"! Meaning brunette women ♀️ are better & willing to fulfill a guys desires!
first time for me to see , very funny
Damn I wish bollywood had the same video quality back then 😕
Imagine if this series had Maximus Zeus in it. Sadly he appeared 10 years later in 1979.
All hail Plankton

Holy Hi-Fi, yeah Robin.
Same reason in the military you have stars, eagles, oak leafs, 2 bars and a bar. Then the chevron class.
1:52 Fun fact In certain parts of ancient Egypt, they believed that the pig was unclean, and they believed this before they became Arab.
Those female extras were also Catwomans' (Julie Newmars') hench women.
Victor Buono ruled!
In the first clip, is that Ernest Borginine as the goon on the right?
These are some light-skinned Egyptians, lol, I used to watch this early TV version of "Batman" after school in the 80's (replays)...
King Tut Looks Like The Actor who Played Mr Squirrelli on The Disney Channel Show Hannah Montana
Tut was short for Tutankhamun.
So funny!

It's one of those shows that's for kids or adults but they will get different things out of it.
4:20 King Tut mad about Batman and Bruce Wayne 😂😂😂😂😂
These days this would have gotten the show cancelled for not casting an Egyptian 😂

why? that makes no sense. it seems like you try to find problems where none are.
@c.rutherford

Disney will probably rewrite the series soon enough and make the crime fighting heroes strong black women and a rainbow all- minority cast. Like every classic, every race deserves representation in Batman, so they can "see themselves" in it! 🙄

@@c.rutherford And that would be so awful why? You still have the old Batman show you can rewatch anytime if you don't like modern ones.
