The trouble with organising is, so much plastic ending up in landfill, cleaning product bottles, make up, lotions and products, buying more plastic to store it in, we all have too much! Glass, wire and bamboo for storage is my goal this year, we started with Christmas presents, only cardboard, paper and glass packaging, sourcing them is a nightmare! baby steps 😊 recycle, recycle, recycle. We have a shop near us, where you can take your own containers and fill them up with shampoo, detergents etc, looking forward to trying that when lockdown is lifted, in the UK very few shops open! Well done.

Yes,this is what I’ve been thinking about in the last while.we are nearly finished building our house and the bathrooms are now finished. So, I am ready to start organize, and contemplating how to minimize plastic.

I do this too and it has kept me from running around looking in the linen closet for the holiday linens When I am already dealing with the regular holiday stresses hahaha

Awesome!! You did a beautiful job!! My mother and I always lined our drawers. It was fun she let me help when I was a small girl. My mother in-law taught me several things. Built out closets, ceiling fans and to put linoleum in the bottom of bathroom cabinets and in kitchen. It protects the wood for resale. I noticed you cabinets inside were pristine! I have been using cork to line my cabinets and drawers lately. I DO NOT PEEL N STICK. But it is good for resale. Or some bathrooms have the press board bottoms which bubbles with moisture. The linoleum is a great way to cover up damaged wood to make under the sink more beautiful.

I'm starting with one cupboard at a time. I find it easier to declutter and purge one bit at a time. You don't miss the stuff that way and you feel good with one bit. You can look at that and know you've done the right thing. Giving the things away to people who need it also feels good.

Great job! I cleaned out my bathroom and linen closet a couple of years ago and it is such a great feeling. I probably will go through them again to tidy, but so far everything has stayed pretty organized! I wish I had Vanity and a closet in my bathroom! When we bought our home (it was a new model), both bathrooms were somewhat small with vanities that had some drawers that were not ones you could open. Why would you make a vanity with drawers that you can't use? Yikes! Well my husband and I were around 41...had our only child at 42 so storage wasn't too big of an issue but still you can always use more storage! That wall organizer is a great idea .... if I had a closet in any of my bathrooms, I would be getting that for sure!

Even though you obviously have a dermatologist, I thought I'd mention Vanicream. It's fragrance free and great for eczema and very dry skin. It's magical to me. Comes in lotion, cream, ointment and I order it on Amazon. My asthma and allergy doc recommended it.

If you read the reviews on Amazon for the door organizer it will tell you hacks to make it sturdier. I own it and it takes a couple zip ties and command hooks. Makes a world of difference.

Looks sooooo great! Consider a trolley if your house is all one level? I find pulling a 3 tier trolley along leaving the top clear for a bucket of hot soapy water etc is really handy and that cupboard looks perfect to house one for everyday cleaning bits. Also consider the top draw being shared dental and contacts? Label the bottom His - Hers? And skin stuff in a slim bin and pull it out and put it back in your vanity?

Have you considered adding some faux greenery on your open shelving? I have the same towels, love them! Thanks for an awesome video!

Why do we always want to get things in excessive like lotions (perfume hand lotions), essential oils, and sometimes even cleaners/disinfectants? I remember buying excessive hand soap just bc i didn't know i had some already! Decluttering often is key and making a list when shopping is just as important to avoid duplicates. GREAT VIDEO AND VERY INSPIRATIONAL!
