Musically it is more like doom metal. Simple, yet atmospheric and HEAVY. It's hardly representative for 90's bm. So I suppose there are for sure some people who like this song but don't like more typical bm sound, especially the faster songs. I like both:)

Not sure I agree. The theme, sure. But this is pretty slow and tame compared to the majority of black metal. No blast beats. No screaming. I think Burzums stuff, particularly Dunkelheit, is the best intro. This song would be a way to reeeaaaaaally ease your way into it.
