crazy how much effort and dedication goes into a Film just for some people to think it was shit and move on with their day, without appreciating at least the hard work that went into making it.

So you're saying that just because hours and hours of work have gone into making this, that the film should automatically be good, or received well. I'm all praises for the resourcefulness and the imagination of the crew in creating a Batcave that was really practical, but that serves only as a visual element of the film that you can appreciate, but not when the story is too convoluted.

I love how in every new Batman movie they try to do something different. Sure it won't be everybody's cup of tea, but at least it's new and fresh. If you look at the comics every writer does the same and put their own ideas of what their Batman should be. So when somebody says it's not comic book accuracy tell them it's bullshit ;)

Absolutely agree! I think that's my favourite thing about Batman - the fantasy of the Arkham games and the naturalism of the Nolan trilogy are both equally valid. I actually love that we're getting multiple simultaneous interpretations of Batman on the big screen - Pattinson, Keaton 2.0 and a last hurrah for Affleck.

@@QWERTYTRMC In my opinion Bale’s cave was very ordinary, like he just put all his equipment inside the cave and that’s it. Not to mention, it was not very practical and realistic. There was no building, roof or protection inside the cave, and it was a very big cave. How did he deal with water leaking, mold or smell? The entrance to his cave was also wide open behind a waterfall.

That batwing concept is brilliant

These "behind the scene" videos really make me appreciate the movie even more

We'll never get a better batman, that looks and feels quite like this. The brooding, dark, big, scary batman. I think the batman with Robert Pattinson will be great, and I know theres people who hated this movie here, but to me.. this is a special movie. It's flawed.. it could'a been smoothed out a bit better. But to me it's beautiful. And Affleck... was incredible as batman... and yes I mean as Bruce too. They're the same person! Literally lol. Maybe some day in some weird world we'll have him back for some one off movie.

I cannot agree more with this. I personally didn't understand why folks hated this film so much, when it came out. Affleck's portrayal was brilliant, the characters were decently fleshed out and the casting was spot on. The only complaints I have, are more with the cinematography (which, though technical critiques, impinge on the character development), than anything else. Its a shame that Justice League was such a flop because it may have been the reason why Affleck decided to pull out. The FSM knows, I was this close to starting an online petition to have Affleck remain but my procrastinating ass, simply wouldn't let me be great....😅

The thing is there is no definitive Batman. Some people still like Michael Keaton better than Ben Affleck. Batfleck makes an excellent Miller's Dark Knight, but we have to remember there's more than one Batman. Just look at the comics and see how different they are.

not really, the batcave is subterranean and as such 'indoors'. There's no rain or dirt making the windows filthy, so the neccesity to wash the windows is minimal, really not any more than a house owner who has windows above their interior doors for example. Washing it once every 6 months should be MORE than enough, and as others mentioned, with Wayne's money and the tech they have, i'm pretty sure 90% can be cleaned with automated systems. a roomba or two around and you're as good as done.

as an engineer student, this is orgasmic to have as my house.

@@SireGoose841 Loved the aesthetic. I think it's close to perfection. Hated his morals. The morals is the core of Batman and to me is leagues more important than if he has the perfect Batsuit, perfect Batmobile, perfect Batwing, etc.

The most sophisticated design of The Batcave I've ever seen since Batman Beyond. I love it!

I wish we had a more in-depth look behind Affleck's Batman. The design and aesthetic of all his gadgets and gizmos just makes me wonder how he got from his early years to his later years being Batman ... If only he had a second shot

ritik saxena you do know the majority of marvel sets arent cgi? Or they incorporate cgi and sets, kinda like wakanda. A lot of the city and all the trees etc. we’re cgi, but the location wasn’t. Dc however uses cgi for everything, and it’s terrible. Look at steppenwolf, and supermustache... ugh I’m by no means a marvel fanboy but dc does not do this better. Unless you’re talking bout the best hero films, TDK trilogy.

It was a great design, very well done. Studios never cease to blow my mind how much work they put into props used in a single scene, someone worked for months on this stuff for a few seconds of air time. Amazing.

The manor being destroyed in the first shot, the fact this Batcave seems a bit more modern, it leads me to believe at some point Batfleck had a Babel Protocol enabled and came back.

batman has killed quite a good few times in the comics tbh this is heavily based from the dark knight returns version of batman though who also killed the joker, im not sure if joker killed himself because the voice bubbles were in batmans tone like it was in his head, also same comic in the movie when he saves martha he shot the tank on his back in the comic he shot him between the eyes...i think they didnt explain enough like they could of shown a flashback scenes to what sent him over the edge

I've never been the kind of person who likes it when supplementary material is required to fully appreciate something in a movie. But holy wow does this make every single frame of film shot in the Batcave look 10x more impressive knowing that it's almost entirely practical. I always assumed things like the bridge or the water would be CGI. But never, for even a moment, did I consider that it was just all real. Gotta be one of the most impressive practical sets I've ever seen.

The Batcave set was so big the production had to remove a wall between two separate stages to make one super huge stage

Actually it makes sense for the desks to be suspended from the ceiling via wire. I would assume since it's in a cave, it may experience seismic activity, which would negate the need for solid pillars - since solid pillars with desks attached, under seismic activity may damage the equipment.

I love the design of this cave. Bats often hang form the roof, so it makes sense for all of his equipment and rooms to also hang from the roof.

Well I often wondered who actally built the bat cave since Batman is always fighting crime you would expect it to just be a bunch of shipping containers welded together in a dark cave.

I am really surprised that the monitors actually had real graphic. Most movies would just cgi the shit out of it.

@@Bat-talk Yezzir. Plus tbh they brought a lot of business to the area that summer anyway. They filmed mostly in Pontiac Michigan at the sound stages and all the local restaurants and hotels and everything was booming thanks to them. It was a big production. Plenty of the Transformers movies were filmed at the same studio and no one really noticed but with BvS it was noticeable around town because they had so many people in the area

holy moly! this was made with passion!

It's so amazing to see such massive and beautiful sets being built. I can bet that so many people would love to have something like that If possible. Just a wonderful set up. You can literally fish from your platform in it, catch dinner, go for a swim. And just imagine how quite and peaceful it would be down there. I would just lay back and chill. Wow.

Am I the only one that wouldn't mind living here?

I really love the look of this Batcave. More importantly, I can buy the idea that it exists without raising suspicion. Nolan's Batcave worked in Batman Begins when it was literally just Bruce's minimalistic workstation just sitting there in an open cave under the mansion. But then you get to Rises and you gotta wonder how he explained to an architect why he needed a submersible platform with a collapsible computer bank, armory, and helipad. It's all too purpose built that there's no other explanation than he's just Batman hiding his crime fighting equipment. Here, the design language of the structure itself looks a lot like his glass lake house and all the tech isn't meticulously integrated it's just stuff on desks and work benches he and Alfred can move in on their own. I can see him explaining it as just being an extension of the house meant as a simple means to admire the catacombs beneath the mansion. It's not really out of the question, because I've seen plenty of videos of rich people having really intricate man-caves and stuff like bunkers beneath their homes. Basically, the general space doesn't lend itself to ONLY being the Batcave. Ultimately, it's just a really fancy basement and it's what gets brought into it that makes it the Batcave.
