    7 жыл бұрын

    Jari van Lennep they call impossibles 360 shuvs because people get picky about if the board actually wrapped or not. so if you do a 360 shuv, that counts as an impossible. although I've seen 1 batb where they did both in the same round and counted it as two different tricks. but that's not consistent throughout batb

    just because sewa doesn't practice pressure flips doesn't make it "cheap" for joslin to use them. Sewa was doing the exact same thing with his double flips, he saw joslin didn't practice them and abused it. Obviously huge respects for calling his own (slight) toedrag, but joslin still won fair.

  • @zekek3777

    @zekek3777

    7 жыл бұрын

    Kevin Schmidt yes both can be considered cheap, but one is more cheap than the other. The main issue comes down to difficulty. Any skater in this tournament could easily have spent a day learning how to do 10 different pressure flip variations consistently and would have been the BATB champ. Most consider them lame though and don't bother learning them. Learning double/triple flip variations consistently is a much more difficult task. In my opinion, if you want to win, just learn how to do pressure flips in case someone decides to do them in a game. If not, don't get surprised when someone is desperate enough to do one. Honestly, I dont think most of them care that much to take this game seriously though.

When I first watched the battle I was irked over Sewa's calling redo on himself, but this time I really noticed how strict Mike-Mo was on Joslin in the end. Rightfully so imo because that balanced everything out and the person that I wanted to win, won fair and square...but yeah Sewa gets the sportsmanship award for the rest of time.

    It is still wrong, no matter how you look at it, for offense to get more tries on one trick than defense. Even if he did almost make it, two rebates when the game is t to t for a championship, is really wrong. Mike Mo $$cked it up.

    Rick Taylor you are the only thing wrong with skating... Why not support your fellow skater, instead of talking shit to the younger generation. And I've been skating for about 18 years off and on.... Besides, you have no room to talk. I'm sure you've never even come close to landing that trick. All I'm saying is that I rewatched the trick on stream and I couldn't see the toe drag.

    Closet Nerd Gaming he admitted it, I'm sure nothing you would do. I know you don't see the point I'm trying to make, which is fine, but you keep seem to be saying that he should of shut his mouth and just won, even though he KNEW he dragged. That is once again the difference between you and a true skater. A lot of respect from me to Sewa for calling his own drag, when if he kept his mouth shut and then won it would of been obvious and people like you still wouldn't care. Just saying man I've been skating off and on for almost 18 years and I fuckin hate people with the " awww c'mon! he was close! count it!!" mentality. Either way it is what it is and keep skating dude, shit gets harder and harder the older you get.

    What happened to, "Offensive toe drag gets 1 do-over"? Sewa was screwed out of the win

    jzx 100 hell no lol. In a legit game no toe or heel drag counts. Next guys turn. There should never be redo's on offense. Joslin should have played the game more straight up, especially after Sewa asked to play a clean game. smh. Joslin played dirty toe and heel dragging all over the place. lol. That game was gifted.

    Chris Joslins last trick they gave him 2 re-dos. rules say for offense you only get one do-over. either way the game was epic and I'm happy for how both of them played.

    That's was so awesome to give the recognition that Rodney Mullen deserves, wished we could have a day dedicated to celebrating what he has done for all of us. I understand he doesn't like attention but he deserves so much more for being the godfather of modern skateboarding. Thank you Rodney, from the bottom of my heart.

    I was skating for over 14 years before a knee surgery ruined my skate life. I stopped when i was 27. When i see this... what skating has become nearly makes me drop some tears of joy! So sick. This energy. Joslin is a don! Also all the pro´s nowadays are just humble and cool guys who love their sport to death! Keep it up guys!!!
