I had no idea how strong Barton’s flatground game was. So consistent on offense and defense, going T-to-T with a straight up wizard. It looked like he studied hard, including a couple specific go-to tricks of Jamie’s. Also good on him for not trying to keep the nollie hardflip as intentional. Much respect. Gonna keep an eye on him in the future...

I've watched this since Battle of the berrics 1....every episode.....this one is by far pushing the envelope!!! 💯💯💯 Are the guys even pro or am or what??? So Many gnarly and rare tricks!!!

One of the most amazing battles ever. I can't believe how good Jamie Griffin is. I think he's going to take the whole thing. It's too bad this battle happened so early. Definitely could have been a finals match.

I don't know if he can beat Sewa or Luan, yes he has some weird hard tricks down but those two have such a high consistency of every permutation of "normal" tricks, they might be able to just wear him down through those. Finals night could easily end up with Jamie vs Sewa or Luan as the final round though! Of course whoever wins the icons bracket going up against Jamie is also going to be an epic one to see!

@ 1:09 you guys should’ve just nested the clip and then put the warp stabilizer effect on it. Would’ve got rid of the atrocious red bar through the video.

this game was next next level, the back-to-back lands were pretty incredible, the consistency too!

My respect for Spencer Barton is through the roof. He really brought it in this battle, some of those lands on defense were insanely impressive. On top of that he just seems like a good guy and a great sport. Awesome battle. Edit: good guy**

Imagine having multiple death blows and having to pick which one you’re gonna use first. Jamie is insane, i really hope him and Prod duke it out in the semis.

My respect for Spencer just jumped up so much. Damn, this was one of my favorite battles this season.

Spencer has some obscure tricks. I love seeing this kind of flavor in a skate game. Def one of the better battles.

The Influencer bracket had 3 amazing people and a lot of filler. Then Johnny and Jamie got matched up R1 and Jamie got to face Spencer in R2, which makes the rest of the bracket not that interesting.

@@adam-asare Sometimes percentage of landed tricks in batb history is used as metric for how easy a trick is. And I think this is the first time this trick has been set in batb and they both landed it, it would make it 100% landed and look as though it's easy on paper

Incredible game to watch. One of the best this years battles has brought us so far!

I actually enjoyed this one more than Johnny vs Jamie. Spencer really fought well. I loved how he went straight to some other tricks instead of just doing variations on kick/heel/spins. Very nice battle. Also love Jamie for showing spencer how to do two tricks. Absolute legend.

Every trick in this was nuts. Spencer brought the heat. Incredible

BATB 12 bringing some INSANE games. So many of em with nothing but respect for both sides, real 50-50 matches, killer trick selection, and some absolutely nuts offense/defense pairs.

So many super technical tricks in this game. Love it!

I don't really get why Jamie doesn't start with those crazy tricks (switch FS 360 Kickflip, 360 Trippelflip, merlintwist with extra 180, ...). Spencer brought his A game with a lot of very difficult tricks (don't think I've ever seen a nollie 540 flip) and could have easily won if he found 1 more trick Jamie doesn't master. Best game so far, really didn't know Spencer is so good at flat ground. Could have been the finals imo.

watching this battle again after a year, it's actually insane that this is one of the few games that could've gone either way, and now we have a two time reigning champ...

He already did the Nollie Hard earlier and it was defended. I don’t think it justifies a redo if you land a trick you weren’t intending on doing to begin with! That’s just great sportsmanship on his part by turning over the set! Great game in general though! These two are beasts!

If you MISS the trick you were trying period, it shouldn't be a redo. If he landed the trick he was trying but it was sketchy, then it's definitely a redo.
