@theshevanel
2 жыл бұрын
@@presscottfrost Filipe didn't do anything wrong. If you were in his shoes I'm sure you would've went for the throat too -- you're skating in the biggest contest of its kind on the _world,_ you're on T about to get *skunked,* scuffed your first offensive turn. luckily your opponent misses quick to put you back on offense, and you're able to go on a run racking up letters to tie it T to T. _You could_ bust out a super difficult banger that you're pretty consistent on, but has a higher chance of missing than most tricks, but if you do miss the game is very likely over and you lose. _Or_ you could do an easier trick that you have on lock, but a lot of skaters either don't have it in their bag, or they lack any sort of consistency, which gives you a much higher likelihood of winning and moving on -- I know which option I'd choose. They might be having fun out there, and the vibe might be lighthearted, but in the end it's a contest and they're out to *win.* Sometimes it takes being cutthroat when you need to be.

Who the hell DOESN’T work on pressure flips when preparing for BATB? If you can’t pressure flip, there’s a gap in your repertoire, simple as that.

@TH 87 ...I guess? Lmao there's literally no other reason it would be "dirty" so I'm not sure wtf people are talking about. It's not like he exploited some sort of stance weakness or something. He just did a pressure flip.
I thought Eric was gonna win it looked so good for him in the beginning

Given that I accidentally saw the video length at the beginning, I thought it was over for sure at that point.
was so unsure where this was going from the start. good game!
what a great game!! They are turning up the heat slowly now! And yeah what a comeback, i love how Filipe kinda just sussed out gradually that Eric didn't seem to have as strong of a switch heelflip game as him and ended up getting him 3 or so letters from those!
I like Eric, he seems like such a nice dude
Love those comeback wins! 👊
