Nobody cares, but "Grudge" from Tools has scream for 29 seconds. Both unbelieveable.

I had just arrived home from see them alive. And Fuck me because it was marvelous. It was out of this world. It was a spiritual experience. I can't describe their magnificent ability of performance and musical skill. They for sure, are one of the best concert i have had the privilege to attend.

seems nice. when i listen to their album it also feels like a story about some priest in a church praying god and a gremlin kind of demon summoning devils, and in the last song it closes with both god and devil just facing each other with no conclusion and just pure destruction and coldness

The best what happened with black metal is Batuska. It is magic... I'm Russian and I think that Russian style and spirit is very realistic in this video. I remember my childhood, i lived in small Russian village near Ekaterinburg. There are same church, fiedle and river in this village. Sorry for my English, i just want to talk with guys from other countries about culture of my motherland. Batushka felt it perfect!

No worries, your English is better than some so-called "English speakers" here in America. I was raised to "hate" Russia after my parents and their families had to go through the Cold War and Russia went to war with the country where my family is originally from. I have recently come across Russian folk music/metal and learning about Russian culture and have gained a newfound appreciation for the beauty and resilience of Russian culture and its people. I learned to distance the politics of Russian government from its people. Although Batushka is not Russian, I was introduced to them after a long playlist of Russian folk metal/music lol so it was a good reminder.

@@debbiesharp493, they're not. Singing in Russian with an accent doesn't quite qualify as Church Slavonic in my book. Batushka's Church Slavonic is not ideal either, of course, but at least it's fairly accurate and doesn't sound like American actors pretending to be Russian in Hollywood films.

Немножко неловко когда ни один Российских коллективов или из стран бывших СНГ не смогли привлечь внимания в мире к своей музыке с лирикой на Русском языке, как это сделал польский Батюшка, только ещё дальше пошли и тут церковный старославянский, который и русскому то тяжеловато понять иногда. Ещё и кирилистическое написание. Браво Кристофер!

А если говорить о кирилице, то создатель группы так и говорит: Батюшка, это духовный наставник, священник русской православной церкви. Почитайте его интервью. Да другие ортодоксальные церкви используют свои языки, будь то греческий, польский или грузинский. Русским или старославянским там и не пахнет. Но Кристофер сделал упор на Русский, а не польский, греческий и тд. Почему? Наверное лучше у него спросить.

Even though I don't understand the lyrics the mere presence of this song speaks to me in every way. I would go as far as to say it's my favorite song in all of black metal thus far. I can't even say how many times I have listened to it in the past year and it has yet to get old. Since the past year has gone I have come to a very dark place in my life and this song always keeps me going with fury and passion somehow. Kinda weird when you don't even know what it means.

This and III are my favorites and they kinda transition into each other like on long song. Aqui tienes uno. Además me parece bestial que se comiencen a ver guitarras de 8 cuerdas en el black metal por fin como algo consolidado. the drums, the bass, the guitars, the TONE. Like they are not just masterbating on their instruments they are PLAYING and it all just makes SENSE! only thing that could make it better is if these bands made enough money to go to AAA recording studios and get real talent to master the tracks.

Sure, i've been given good suprises listening to Batushka, Mgla, Plaga, Cult of Fire, Schammasch, Uada, Svartidaudi, Akhlys, Aversio Humanitatis, Kriegsmaschine i think are the most remarkable. Really nice experience hearing these. Cheers.
