Porównanie strun do gitary basowej / Struny do gitary basowej✌🏻
Podczas poszukiwań strun do Fendera Jazz Bassa nagrałem to porównanie. Miłego odsłuchu.🎧✌🏻
🔴 Dlaczego do porównania wybrałem 3 komplety strun Ernie Ball i porównałem z jednym kompletem D'Addario?

The Ernie Ball Cobalt is perfect!
Excellent compare and contrast, this is just what I was looking for. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for such a useful and amazing video review.
I recently tried the Cobalt switch from the D’addario and I wasn’t as crazy about the Cobalt, but here they sound the best to my ear. Thanks, good vid.
Really nice job, thanks for vid 👍
D'addarios have the crispiness up top. They sounded slightly weaker on the open B to me than the Ernie Ball's Regular Slinky, but I just play a 4 string Jazz. Flatwounds still had good presence. Nice vid...thanks!
A REAL MASTER🎓🎸🥇 GOOD BLESS YOU
This video made me choose cobalt
Nice video,😎 greetings from Mexico🇲🇽🤙👋🎸
Great Review!
Nice comparison and very nice playing! I listened with decent headphones but found less differences than i expected. Overall the nickel EB seem slightly more brilliant and articulate than D'addarios, which fits with my own experience. Unfortunately i found EB to die quicker than D'Addarios. The cobalts seem a bit duller, at least in some of the bits you played, closer to the flats.
Cobalts! For life! Have them on all my electric basses but I do have flatwounds on my acoustic electric bass.
Your bass tone is so awesome it sounds great no matter which strings you use!

shhhh that's industry secret
I've been using Rotosound Swing strings for 40 plus years. Only brand I use.
Cobalts have a nice growl to them, sad you didn't test the cobalt flats. Also, the flats doesn't seem really dull compared to the roundwounds. Interesting
Dirtee!! Cobalts… wow. But much credit is in your playing. Very good.
Holy Shnikes. Sick playing my friend. That Jazz got a Great case of the Grunts. WoW.
Nice bass and good strings comparison!
XL and Cobalt 👌🏻
I have impretion that you can make them sound absolutely equally by setting up tone knob
Excellent comparison.
Slinkies sit nicely in the mix.

I also found fewer differences than expected. The difference between the Cobalts and the Flats should have been *huge*, which it certainly is not and makes me wonder what is masking that difference.
Good 👍
thank you man,great comparison🤘
ok bro... thanks from france

i stay on XL... :-)
Super Slinky for got the brightest and clean tone
Can you play over the same pickup when you change between the strings? First set you're on the bridge. Second set you're in between the two pups...
I play by a pretty good ear... been know to miss one note from time to time. Except some would never believe I was a musician (weekend/ full time) because in a blind test I can only tell the difference in real old strings and new ones? Type, size, brand is never heard by my ears. That's the honest truth. Anyone else like me?
Your original music is phenomenal! Please do a tutorial. X
It's been driving me nuts but I can't seem to recall what riff that is at 1:38. I know it but I don't and I've played it on bass several times before but I can't remember the name. If someone can help me out, I would be grateful! Thanks.
Nice wide mix, do you blend DI and amp/vst signals?

Thanks, COMP, DI & UAD PLUG-INS :)
Cobalt huge sound and punch without compression
Ddario and custom great
Mi primera impresión es que me gustan mas las ernie ball cobalt, pero... me gustaría saber si estas usando un compresor ya sea en el amplificador o en la grabación!?? Porque eso afecta a como uno escucha el volumen de cada cuerda..
@MIVProductionStudio
Жыл бұрын
Sí, hay un compresor ligero en la grabación. El conjunto de cobalto es el más dinámico. Yes, there is a light compressor in the recording. The Cobalt set is the most dynamic.
Daddario is weaker in the open b, for those who like to play metal/grove I will say cobalt are the best option based on what I hear in this video. Thanks btw

I heard the faintest of difference in favor of the cobalts, but really.. so small. I feel like I'm watching cycling or hiking gear where they try to shave grams off their load and all I can see is it just won't matter 'til I shed another 20 lbs. At my level, it's not the strings.
not as much difference between the XL and the Cobalt as I experienced when I switched. The cobalts for me were remarkably brighter and more crisp, esp the low B. I didn't hear that at all in this demo. The flat wounds really surprised me and I might need to give them a go!
D'addario!
I've tried so many different bass strings and always go back to nickel roundwound ernie balls . Their tone last so long . I can play a set of gas boomers and they'll sound dead after a few weeks . Ernie balls still have those harmonic overtones and overall brightness after 3 months of hard practice .

which ones you like the most? regular?

@@BenCrozz Yes regular blue 🔵 40 - 95 pack . Surprisingly they sound good all the way down to d standard or even c# without flipping out .
Can you please help? How do you have such control over the sound of sliding across the strings? When I play (even as consciously as possible) I get piercing scratches when I slide up or down the strings.

It's hard to say, some things are natural after 20 years of playing bass.✌🏻🎸🙃

Do you have dry or sticky hands when playing? Try a few things out until you find what works - remove some of the top from your bass / amp, wipe you hands before you play, wipe your strings regularly, try string cleaner like Fast Fret say, don’t laugh spray a small bit of WD40 on your fingers, practice sliding until you get it. Or you could try flatwounds.

Cobalts have more clarity and less squeaky. I have tried many strings. Flatwounds are great, too.
Cobalt the only one that stood out.
what string sets have the b string wound thinner right where the string goes over the bridge saddle?
@MIVProductionStudio
Жыл бұрын
In each of these sets, this problem occurs with this thickness of a string (45-135). We founded only through the guitar body.
I think the EB Custom Flatwounds have the sound and feel I’m looking for.

They have a sound close to a vintage sounding bass.
This proves I have the shittiest sound perception. Playing bass for 20 years and, honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between any of them. Would love to see a blind test to see how accurate the average player is.... By the way I'm using audio-technica earphones, so no excuse there lol
Gostei mais do som da corda Ernie ball.
D'addario EXL170 the besttt🔥
The sad fact is when playing live... You could pick any of them and the tone is so close no one would even know. When recording, only slight differences as well. Thanks for the demo. Great playing!

Yep...the only thing that really matters its the gauge🤷♂️
@sprucefan4379

I don't think that fact is sad at all. For most of us it's a good thing. Once we come to this realization, we 'll spend less time worrying about what strings to use and spend more time practicing.

I don't hear big difference, I using studio monitors.
ernie flat for me i have
