Bass Player Live! Geezer Butler,Zakk Wylde,Corey Taylor "Fairies W Boots" / NIB"@ Fonda Theatre 2013

Музыка

"Bass Player LIVE! is the biggest and baddest bass event of the year," says Bass Player editor Brian Fox. "And this year's lineup is our heaviest yet. When it comes to hard rock bass playing, Geezer Butler wrote the book. That he continues to perform with every bit of the raw intensity of his early days in Black Sabbath is an inspiration for players of all ages and all styles

He stays in a tight range a lot but uses all his strings . Pretty sure he thumps with all 4 fingers too, which is unusual, especially on this type of music

Long live and love the SABBATH my brotha....

MetalheadYA Oh make no mistake about it, it is essential that the bass double the riff/s at times. A good analogy I like I believe in is "When the guitar is busy, keep the bass simple..when the guitar is laid back, get the bass walking" and that basically describes geezer to a "T" IMO. He knew when to follow and when to embellish.
