A 7.8! That’s the biggest I’ve seen out of there. I’ve caught one 5, a few 4s, and a ton of 2-3. All on smaller baits and #6 line though - gonna bring out some bigger plastics now

I fish these urban socal ponds all the time and it’s awesome seeing your videos ! I’m learning tons of information one thing I noted is how you cast a long side the wall and get bit ! Most ponds around me don’t have any structure and it just clicked that the wall is the structure

Yea surprisingly they like to be shallow a lot of the time but you also need some stealth if the water is clear but even then it's tough

Great catch, been trying out the Ned Rig for a bit and I’ve gotten some but not as many big bass. Fun catching them on it tho 🥵🥵

Great vid as always. Do you prefer Balboa over Echo? I feel like Echo has more cover that you can target while Balboa just seems like a bunch of open water.

Thanks they are very different lakes definitely. Balboa is good for numbers but echo definitely has the better quality

Zero out the scale while the grippers hanging on it first, then clamp on the fish for a more accurate reading. Especially if it's a pb. Nice catch regardless

Surprisingly it works as a bottom bait rod but not ideal haha but the fmj or bmg might be better but I'd say try it 👍🏼

The hookup tackle I think recommended the xbites/dark sleeper for the Sleeper Craw. Yea that'll be the ideal rod definitely
