He looks bored sometimes nowadays but even during those times... VW is STILL the most mind blowing bassist I've ever seen and in 50 yrs when I'm talking about musicians to my grandkids and they bring up the latest social media bass virtuoso I'll still be saying "...go get my Victor Wooten DVD out the garage"

Trust me, Victor has a great collection of basses... the Yin Yang is just one of them.
Man, this guy is my idol. I hope I can someday master this much skill. Victor Wooten is the best bass player in my opinion, love seeing him around!
Such an incredible bassist and musician all around. One of my biggest influences for sure.

That's why you just achieve what you need to when you're going because the fire and enthusiasm isn't there when older. Because you've seen shit when you get to certain age. Vic is probably thinking while playing, "oh man, I can play but there are billions of stars in the universe".
There are many bassists i've enjoyed over the years as a bassist myself, but no one yet has out-shined ol' Vic. He's got silky smooth groove like nobody i've ever heard. That is one of his most refined skills as a musician - He's got the funk!

3:10 - 3:18 translation: "I love the new gen bass players... a lohhhhhtta amazing players... But I'm Victor Wooten..." I'm a fan of a lot of the legends and current younger guys on the scene. My fav bassist will always be Joel Smith. But I can say with confidence that Vic is the greatest to ever do it. I remember buying his record "A Show of Hands" and listening to Cherokee and saying to myself, "nope. Impossible. Not sure what kind of tricks he pulled in the studio but that ain't possible. Not possible..." Light years ahead of what was going on then smh

I dream of having sound processing software to eliminate background noise and keep only its great work
@BassMusicianMagazine

NAMM show footage will always have High levels of Background noise. If we use the "Background Noise reduction" filter it makes it sound like it is happening in a tube. We use a shotgun Mic to try to narrow down the field we are capturing. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
Fodera Basses don't cost 7000 or more for no reason. Hell what good tone that instruments have! Would love to play one in my life time!

Haha, they have you believing the hype. Victor can do that on any instrument. That bass in no way shape of form have anything to do with his ability to play. You can get basses that will destroy Fodera for 3800-4500 custom with more bells and whistle you could ever want. I love how people think these overpriced instruments make him what he is.
New fodera J-bass sounds great. If i was rich i would totally buy one. Nice video, nice Namm. c: Also, is that TX600?

Typo (Hartke)
Victor looks like he's really enjoying playing this particular instrument, even though you can tell it doesn't sound or play like any of his signature basses. Still, a Fodera is a Fodera...

+Nathaniel Haiden Larry says......In the next few days one of these new Hartke TX600 amplifiers will arrive at the Hartke 34th Street Bass Lounge for you to try. They won’t be available for purchase until May but you could pre-order one and be one of the first players anywhere to get one when they arrive for sale. This one’s a game changer my friends 600 watts, tube preamp, 7 pounds, backlit control panel, $399.99.

I thought the casual wave time keeping was a little showy. But he and Steve Bailey taught a lesson on time w here they don't count , they rely on feeling the beat a and knowing where it's at no matter what. It's a great lesson helping my bass playing tremendously.
Is he plucking with both hands 🙌? Hmmmm🤔
