@@ethancampbell9096 Haha, enjoy it, dude! The first one is probably the hardest of the bunch in my opinion, but that's mostly because the bass clarinet my school has has far more issues playing in the mid upper than most bass clarinets. If you have a bass clarinet that goes down to low C you can actually do the contrabass solo as well

accurate!!!!! I actually like playing melody I love the sound, but I always skip over the 16th note runs or difficult timing measures cuz we bass clarinet players ain't used to that stuff. when I have 16th note runs I always say i my head yeah I ain't playing that runs are meant for the flutes and clarinets not for us bass people

@@LosingMyMARIbles for me it's definitely not worth it. You only get the baseline which is always the slowest and easiest part of every piece. The past 3 years Ive wanted to switch to the tenor sax but my band director wouldn't let me. It's definitely a cool instrument and in my opinion it's better than the soprano b flat clarinet but composers don't know how to write music for it so playing it has been a nightmare.

I remember you coming into my lesson and "accidentally" dropping an old clarinet that had every pin and screw removed from it and it crashed into a million pieces! I laughed but our clarinet professor Charlie Bay failed to see the humor and chewed you out royally! I still laugh when I think of it!! Cheers!

Im currently in marching band at my school and we’re about to go into concert season, but I will say that our parts are so much fun to play. Occasionally i’ll get that one song that just absolutely kills me bc of all the moving notes, but it is such a beautiful instrument and I encourage anyone who would like to to make the switch!
