Lekeitio / Basque Country. Lekeitio, is a small Basque fishing village located on the Bay of Biscay. Lekeitio combines Gothic architectural gems with its fishing village and wide beaches.
In addition to a traditional Basque fishing harbor and a gorgeous Gothic basilica, Lekeitio does indeed have an island, a mountain, and a great beach and it also has a very pretty river.
On the mouth of the river Lea stands the Vizcaya-region town of Lekeitio. Two wonderful beaches look out onto the island of San Nicolás, which can be reached on foot at low tide. Sitting on the shores of the Cantabrian Sea, it is a town of popular houses with a strong seafaring flavour, testimony to its origins as a fishing village.
You must take in Lekeitio’s gorgeous gothic church that contrasts with the Basque harbor and the sea.
Lekeitio has two great beaches, Isuntza and Karraspio. Both are great for sunbathing and relaxing, and the water is crystal clear.

Lekeition bertan itsasoratzen da Lea ibaia, Isuntza eta Karraspio hondartzen artean, San Nikolas uhartea ezkerreko aldean dela. Lekeitioko alde zaharreko kaleek herriaren ondare artistiko oparoaz gozatzeko aukera eskaintzen dute. Jasokundeko Andra Maria eliza dotorea da elementurik bikainena. Barruan gordetzen duen urre koloreko erretaula gotikoa aparta da zinez, Estatuko hirugarren handiena.

Lekeitio - Euskadi - es un bonito pueblo pesquero que está situado en la costa de Bizkaia, en la comarca de Lea-Artibai, asentado sobre las laderas de los montes Otoio (399 m) y Lumentza.
Por su parte, el río Lea desemboca en Lekeitio, entre las playas de Isuntza y Karraspio, dejando a su lado izquierdo la isla de San Nicolás. Las calles del casco antiguo de Lekeitio nos ofrecen la oportunidad de disfrutar de un patrimonio artístico abundante, representada por la Basílica de la Asunción de Santa María con su magnífico retablo gótico bañado en oro, considerado el tercero más grande del Estado.

Lekeitio est un joli village de pêcheurs a visiter absolument au pays #basque situé sur la côte biscaïenne, sur les flancs des montagnes Otoio (399 m) et Lumentza , dans la région de Lea-Artibai.
La rivière Lea débouche à la hauteur de Lekeitio, entre les #plages d'Isuntza et de Karraspio, en laissant sur sa gauche l'île San Nicolás.
Les rues de Lekeitio nous offrent un riche patrimoine artistique, comme par exemple la basilique de la Asunción de Santa María, avec un magnifique retable gothique plaqué or, considéré comme le troisième plus grand de l'État. De nombreux autres points d'intérêt se présentent au visiteur : parmi les nombreux monuments architecturaux, il faut citer le Palais d'Uriarte, d'Oxangoiti, d'Uribarri et d'Abaroa.
