Thank you Mr. Harrison. I am learning from you to be patient in addition to everything else. Sometime, people show how they complete a job smoothly and yet, when I try to copy, I tumble every step. It makes me feel like giving it up. You are so different, the way you show us here makes me see how important it is to be patient.

Thank you for the instructional video. I have been doing metal smith work for about 3 years. However I have never made my own settings other than bezels. I am setting rectangular shaped amethyst for earrings and pendant for my daughter for Christmas. I decided to make my own settings and your instructional video was very helpful. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

hello Mr. soham harrison, I am delighted with your videos. I'm starting in the jewelry and I'm learning a lot from her classes. I am Brazilian biologist, but I will retire and be jewelery. I have inspiration in my mother in law pioneer in Brazilian jewelry, Reny Golcman. And I hope to get. Thanks for the help that Mr. gives me

Ever time I get a notice whether it be a new bangle by the way I love them all!!!!! Just trying to come out with a single l, almost had one of my own but I found out you have that one too. How does it work with the copyright because you are our teacher. I was wondering if we could copy the whole thing. I would like to copy yours, I have almost every tool in your shop mostly what you got from Rio grade but I could not get the rolling mill yet instead they gave me a arbor press I believe a arbor press is nothing like yours. What can I do to make it work? I have everything, please answer me back I hope I wasn't too personal I am a 48 year old designer I took a class online and graduated then I found you and have been stuck on you. I didn't think I would find someone with the same passion as me. I have everything you said we needed now I have to move into a bigger place since I am running out of room. Your biggest fan. Maria gentile

Love your wonderfully instructional videos and how you explain with such great detail. I didn't understand how you decided which sizes the two jump rings would be. Could you explain?

Soham, thanks for all these videos! Great work and lots of help for us hobbyists! I have John's book and love it...but every time I try to solder the basket setting onto a ring shank or anything else, even though I've created the setting entirely with hard solder, either one of the ring forms slip down or I melt a prong! Urg...I have tried using easy solder to solder the basket onto a shank (concentrating the heat on the shank and off the basket), but still have the same problems. Do you have any tips for this issue? I'm ready to give up on doing this kind of setting! I hate giving up!

I'm terrible at Cutting jump rings, especially the little ones . I have the same issue with them jumping out of whatever Im holding them with. One day I'll invest in a jump ring cutter, 😫

Hello!! Sorry to be a bother but I just had a quick question. If I have a shaped stone, let’s say it’s heart ❤️ shaped. Would I make the jump rings heart shaped as well? Or would the bottom stay round and then the top be heart shaped?? Thank you so very much in advance!!

  • @1soham1

either way would work but i think it would be more esethetic if both were heart shaped.
