I would recommend 4ply or 8ply thickness cotton yarn for standard amigurumi dolls.

I live in Australia and it has been a while since I purchased yarns from India. I used to buy from pradhan embroidery stores, GulEra cotton is a good one that I like. I suppose there are many more yarn stores now, like ponycraftstore and some Instagram shops. I don't have experience buying from them, that's why I can't suggest any store for you. Thank you!
