I left Oklahoma for work in 2014. I miss all my old fishing spots. Grand lake, Arkansas river, deep fork, spavinaw, and a hundred ponds and creeks all over eastern OK. To name a few. I just clicked on this because OK was in the title. It's truly a great place to live. Greetings from Texas

Nice video for people getting into fishing. When do you all stock Route 66 pond? There are some nice bass there, seen a guy catch a pretty big one sunday night. Hopefully there can be some great catfish there one day.

Hello i have a question how far do you set the bobber from the hook?
@andyblinkblink4198

You can play around with it, i usually start at 2-4 feet. If they are a bit deeper then you could set it to like 6 or 8 feet but be sure not to get it caught in a tree lol

Why use all these different types of knots. A knot is a knot is it not?

A knot is not always a knot.. If and when you make up a knot and loose a fish come back here and learn the correct way to a knot.

If you put a whole nightcrawler on a hook that size it's a big waste. Fish will peck off the dangling bit of the worm and you will lose bait. And depending on what you're fishing for, you may use a hook smaller or bigger than that. When you're using a 3 ought (3/0) baitholder hook for bass or catfish, putting the whole worm on works fine and is what you should do to bait the whole hook, but if you're using a little size 4 to size 12 hook for panfish or trout, putting a whole nightcrawler on is a waste if you're using a regular short shank J hook. However if you're using a long shank aberdeen hook which you'd typically use for hook shy fish or fish with weak lips, putting even half the worm on will work, but again, not the whole worm. Don't give bad advice like this. I also wouldn't recommend wasting nightcrawlers on smaller fish.

Anyways this rig is for pan fish not bass so the the pieces are smaller but if you really want some action I think the red worms would be nice because they're thinner.
