if your phone is in activation screen you need to restore..if your can access the menu no need..

The GNDs are all needed; they provide a feedback reference to the SMPS (switched mode power supply) lines. The GNDs pads in this location are not very good - the resistance to GND is too high. The SMPS lines then go to a higher voltage, so a 1.0v line can go as high as VDD_Main voltage due to the bad ground.
