You would hands down be my first pick for an instructor, you know when to get serious and when to lighten the mood. Great job Lewis and thanks for the ride!!! ;-)

I'm so glad I discovered this channel during the lockdown. It has really encouraged me to get back on track to try and do a PPL. Please come to the UK and teach me 😂. Just kidding, but I would love to be taught by you! GA looks a million times more accessible in the US!

Just stumbled upon your videos, I'm late 50's started flying when i was 16, however after my PPL, marriage/kids/college not particularly in that order, i stopped. Looking to start again, Love your way of instructing, as was mentioned earlier, serious when needed, and yet keep a stress free atmosphere... good luck in your future.

I had real issues with this during my PPL - especially during landing, until the muscle memory finally "clicked". Think about which hand you push when you ride a bike, or steer a shopping trolley, or even which hand you "push" when steering a car, and it's not hard to understand why sometimes the brain decides to push left to turn right.

Russ Flynn I hear what you’re saying. Left for left doesn’t always make the most sense seeing as things like bikes, cars and the like require an opposite input to produce the required effect. The rudder peddles have never been an issue for me personally ... but the way Dixon said it made me chuckle.

It is so sad to see that amazing entertainers like u don't get the love and gratitude from people. If I could, I would subscribe to u a million times. I am writing this comment even before watching the video cuz I am dam sure ur video will be great and entertaining

Jai Prakash haha thanks mate! The people that watch my videos give me great support, with great comments like yours that make me feel good about what I’m doing! The channel is growing slowly as I slowly try and change people’s perception that you don’t have to make flying boring!

Glad to see you're still making videos and putting them out during this time. Our flight school has made the decision to shut down as much instruction as possible due to this virus. Hope you are doing well down there. As I'm sure you heard Sun N Fun is cancelled. Now I'm just curious if Osh Kosh will keep it's date. If so I'll rock that LewDix shirt!

I manage the fuel tanks by looking at the clock. When I am "on the hour to 30 minutes past", RIGHT tank. "31 minutes to 59 minutes past the hour", LEFT tank. A wise and not so old instructor taught me that. Works well.
