It's finally time to move on from the defender sets 😁

Thank you! I enjoy this game a lot, and I've made it to end game with very few armor sets made haha. I have chronic illness that gives me brain fog, so I have an extremely difficult time learning/retaining information in games like this that have a lot of depth and complexity to their mechanics. It's rough because a lot of the games I enjoy (like this one and a lot of the MGS games) end up being the sort of games that have steep learning curves. I almost platinumed the Witcher 3 without even TRYING the mutation system and I ended up making it waaay harder than it needed to be😭 I have been referring to this video to remind me of my goals and to help me progress without ever having the stress of trying to micromanage certain information. Some of these guides have genuinely made the game more playable and more accessible to me. I really hope you know how much I appreciate this!

Oh wow, thank you for the kind compliment! I only thought that the game does a horrible job at explaining how to build good armor sets so I created this video to help people understand how to create their own sets just like how I and many other people have. I recently got back into playing MHW again and I didn’t remember everything about armors so watching this video help me but I didn’t forget how much of a grind this game is that’s for sure

i just beat arched temperd kirin and won a bet from my brother so now i just need to learn how to make armor sets thank you

just got past the diablos and never looked at any weapons or armor. i think its time to start doing that and this was very helpful

Haven't played a Monster Hunter since MH 3rd on PSP, finally plucked up the courage to pick World up yesterday lol - The game does a terrible job at teaching you all the mechanics, but this guide's made planning and understanding things alot easier, thanks! :D

I think you have natural blight resistance for a specific element if you have +20 of its elemental resistance

I thought so 😅 it was weird that when I had a high elemental resistance, I would never get blighted by that element

I have questions, i at hr 11. The assignment need me to find the ??? Rathian. Should I craft all low rank armour or all high rank armour since i don't unlock master rank armour armour??

Do not craft EVERY armor. You'll be wasting your time and resources. Since you're completely new, the Defender Armor set can carry you until you reach Iceborne DLC (if you've gotten it), which is when Master Rank starts.

Do you only augment after you have finished the game. Also for ice born you could have mentioned steam works for armour spheres

I believe augmenting comes after finishing Iceborne. There's "something" that unlocks that let's you augment armor

So do I need to build different sets, or can i just use the one?

You can stick with one and keep on changing pieces throughout your playthrough but if you plan on using another weapon, I'd build another set. That's because the weapon functions differently to another. I would also build another set, if I was being destroyed by a monster and I wanted a build to target that one monster.

That's what layered armor is for

I've always seen videos where people are always saying "when making a build u need to always have affinity or attack" like always saying your armor needs these kind of skills but personally lv 7 skills are just very expensive and often effects my builds yes is good but not always meta I see mhw having three skill categories offense,defense and utility with offense being attack or affinity,defense being defense boost or guard and utility being like handicraft or earplugs and if u choose one u sacrifice the other 2 so trying to find a balance is important too
