I truly appreciate your expertise and knowledge towards the game. If you can could you please go over 3-4, Dime and Nickel fronts and responsibilities.

What about the Mike bumping the Sam to flat coverage on T #3 and the Mike sitting down in that middle zone with the SS still able to cover help on the 1 and Y .

How are you defending the Bubble threat if you are splitting the difference with your backer on the slot side?

Kenny Swann Great question! Splitting the difference is a happy medium between fully committing the LB to either the bubble threat or the box for run. Honestly, if I anticipated a bubble screen, felt outmatched, and/or out leveraged (formation wise) I would avoid the Cover 2. A Cover 3 or nickel package may be a more beneficial option because a better cover guy (i.e. safety, DB, etc.) will be right on top of the bubble threat.

+xzandos.com you defend the bubble by coming up and making a sure tackle before the bubble breaks out past the LOS. In this defensive set it is a give and take relationship vs the bubble to the slot. Apex ing the OLB takes away the slant or snag by the slot. There should be safety support once the bubble is thrown also. So if the OLB can come up and make that tackle at or behind the LOS with safety support. They can throw it all day. #giveandtake.

    Every x/o concept has different nomenclature. When didn’t become so customized? “Y” that’s a TE…”T” that’s a “RB”. Why not have “9”/DE cover the Y and S the T
