I love how you film the truck up and down the ramps, very dynamic and yet stable shots. It's a joy to watch. My big rock esc shut off on me after running the 3S for 6 to 7 minutes. After resetting the power button, it works again. Will contact Arrma to claim ESC replacement. The truck is 6 months old.

I love mine. Added Duratrax 14mm-12mm hubs and then Hot Racing 6mm extension from 12mm to 17mm. Then the Proline MX28 Badlands. Enough tires and tire weight to get rotation and air control. Come to ArrmaForum.com where you'll love the community and get tons of ideas and upgrade tricks!

Oh yeahhhhh! I've asked you for this one, and you delivered! Thank you!! I did already buy one and I love it! I mean, whats NOT to love with arrma, right?? The big rock is so damn fast on 3s! I've run it on 2s and its still very nice. I put my 3s 6000mah 80c and its just insane! The only thing Iam gonna do is widen the stance a bit. She tips in a fast hard turn. I also wish they would include a sticker sheet. Well done my friend!

Good to hear... I just bought one at HobbyTown USA in Matte Black. I have one other Arrma RC and love it. This is my FIRST brushless RTR purchase and made certain I picked up a 3S battery for it. Traxxas was my very first RC years ago and I mean years ago.... but now since they are sponsoring professional race driver's their pricing has priced me away from them.... too bad. Enter Arrma...... Bash away!!!!!! Great video!

I think they also put the silver paint on the inside so when you scratch the blue on the outside it will like like metal underneath. Nice detail.

FYI This chassis and the Senton 3S chassis are the same length. Great video!!

It may be my next and last rc. I like that it doesn't have a wing like the notorious 6s I have. In 42° weather in a roll not even as bad as those and it snapped the wheelie bar and screws by twisting the wing. I put RPMs on it and left the wing off. And also dont like the metal chassis of the 6s or larger, one wrong landing and you'll be either bending the chassis back (if you're lucky enough) or buying a new one along with a new rear diff do to broken teeth, replacing the center diff cup with an aluminum one as yours blew a hole in it. It's either gonna be a the Bigrock or saving up for a Xmaxx as my last one.

The longer chassis seems good for a 40mm by 107mm motor on 6s 👍

Maybe I've been watching too many 6s videos but that thing seems a little under powered or maybe overweight. Love to see one with a BLX185 swap for comparison (hint hint). Sick video as always though.

So far im loving my Big Rock, it needed to be widened up a bit IMO so I put the 1/2" offset Duratrax Lockup MT wheels n tires n did widen the footprint its now how I think it shouldve came, again IMO

I picked up a new Typhon 3S and it appears it uses the same lengthened chassis. Wonder what all parts I'd need to convert? Hmmm. Being able to go from buggy to monster truck with a few mods (body posts, bumpers, chassis guards, side rails and wheels and tires), would be awesome!

So what shoild I do, get the Big Rock? and buy Typhon chassis, Shocks, suspension arms, CVDs and bigger wheels using the 17mm hex.

Interesting how arrma mixes up the parts for the granite and the typhon to create both the senton and the bigrock. Their whole 3s and 4s lines are just mix matched parts of each other.

Isn't this just a lower voltage esc version of the big rock? Wasn't there a 6s version? I know i have an arrma nero 6s blx

I like big rock because its length is bigger and I can fit more easy a senton body due to the length, but I don't know if big Rock do as good wheelies as the granite and if it is as good at jumps and tricks as the granite. Love the Arrma 3s line. Only one I don’t have is the Senton but I do have 2 Typhons so I could convert. My biggest issue is the leaky shocks. Great job Greg. Watch all your videos. 👍👍

Be honest big rock 3s blx or granite 3s blx?? I am about to pick up and to me it’s quite a it of loot! I was thinking the longer wheelbase should be a lot more stable for speed but a bit harder to flip. Also is it wider in the axles too? It looks wider and it doesn’t seem to be the wheels as the granite seems to have the wider wheels. Any specs on that would be great too

It looks like, you have a whole set of "motorstorm".

The Arrma 10 scale's sound weird to me like the mesh it too tight or it's eating the spur but that's just how they sound because all the videos I watch of them they all sound the same, it's kinda like they have a signature sound that I could tell if it's an Arrma 3s blx with my eyes closed. My ruslter 4x4 isn't as loud but my losi tenacity on the other hand is louder lol it's interesting to me that every brand sounds different.

What about running in some mud conditions?

I don’t know what kind of controller you’re using on the big rock but at my house it came out of the box with the STX2. Horizon hobbies was so kind as to replace it with the DX3.As far as I’m concerned they’re both garbage they both glitch they both give me full power when not asking for it it doesn’t turn when you ask it to at a distance. The controller is a piece of crap. Can you suggest a good controller and receiver combo that is very fast and does not glitch.??? Thank you for your time.PS..I’m left handed.

I read in the book that came with it cos out of the box your if got 25 mph in the book you press the press to turn tx and it tell what to do coz that slow my bugsta brushed was faster plz reply it cost me 390 pounds so need help

Always been curious about people who make videos with RCs at BMX tracks. Are there just never any people at the tracks or do you go specifically when no one is there? And do you ask before running RCs there?

This BMX track is local to me and I raced BMX there when I was a kid. My Dad also helped build some of the buildings there along with volunteered so I know the track personel if they ever do stop by when I'm running. I know what times to go during the summer because I've gone there for so long and usually nobody is there in the winter. If there are riders, they always have the right of way. Usually if I'm doing a video, I'll approach them and let them know I'm filming quickly and will stay out of their way. 98% of the time they're find with it.

Bro, I'm from Greece too, and I have the same problem because I want to buy granite or big rock. You can check Europe rc, it has good prices, but I don't know if it is 100% authentic. For sure you can check modellsport UK, it delivers to Greece and it is 100% authentic, you are sure for your order.

Hi Greg, Can you do a video on how to break in a nitro motor when it is cold outside? I have always been told it is detrimental to the engine but there has to be a way. Right?

Run a tank or 2 through it running really rich, then once a nitro motor is broken in, it is broken and temp does not matter. However, if the temp is way cold running it a bit to warm it first before ripping on it would be recommended.

I like my wife's original Big Rock better, sorry that and rhe Nero are awesome trucks. Yes I know about the B.S. tantrum Traxxas lawsuit. Traxxas was pissed that Arrma made a better unit plane and simple. I have an Xmaxx and Trx4 and boy they have there issues, well more so the Xmaxx. I'd trade my trick out Xmaxx for a Nero/Big Rock any day. Sorry bit of a rant, Arrma should have given it a new name it's not a Big Rock.

For me it is too big, it looks totally ugly. Good review and blue color, but nothing else in fact...

I was actually going to say that I shredded the stock pinion which ate the spur, but today I installed a new pair. It's so bloody simple to work on, smh. Runs like a badass
