Thanks for your great educational video! In Shanghai China, where the groundwater level is as shallow as less than 1m. So as a rule of thumb, we use anti-uplift piles to resist the hydrostatic uplift pressure exerted by the groundwater.

what abut spread and combined footings? shoukd we consider uplift on them?

in the case of high rise building i.e tall structures , the self weight is considerably high. i think it is safe??

if we have concrete piles ,shall the concrete piles quantity included in the resisting force?

We can disregard this check if we are using concrete piles already.
