I had several people tell me to just go in disablity, but I made it to 64 before I got tired of every Karen screaming about not getting their appilance fixed in the middle of Covid. I'm nothing special but I worked, did what I could do, and lasted 12 years longer than most people thought I should. Awesome comment. Being disabled is a group that anyone can join at anytime, unfortunately. I think the conversation may have been more constructive if that woman would have admitted that physical barriers due to her disability had nothing to do with barriers to her as a woman. As a man, I feel that, based strictly on gender, women have no barriers a man doesn't have or maybe privilege in some aspects. I also believe that feminism in the US is not needed any longer. In my last office job, a woman who made more per hour than I did trained me. At the end of the first year, they handed out our W-2s. Against company policy we sat around and compared how much each of us had made for the entire year. When I mentioned my amount, that same woman flipped out! She asked me if I had gotten some large hourly raise? I said "no." She didn't believe me so I showed a paycheck stub to prove I hadn't. She Couldn't wrap her head around the fact that I made more than her. I reminded her that several times during the year she came in with heavy cramps and left early because she " couldn't handle this today"... all those times I stayed and covered for her. And the dozen-or-so Saturday's she didn't feel like working because her daughter was having marital problems.... I covered those days. And my favorite excuse, I covered the day somebody apparently had used the eyeliner in her top drawer.... she had to leave early for that too. She was upset that someone had "invaded her space," in reality is was just another excuse to not be there. On paper to a third party, it would look like another man making more than a woman. As someone in a wheelchair myself I absolutely hate when people use that as an excuse. Yeah, I'll admit being disabled and being unable to travel or do a lot of things most others can, makes life very challenging and it can make you bitter at the world sometimes, but I never let that stop me from striving for a better life and career. The only limitations are the ones you place on yourself.

It is definitely challenging to go about in the world in a wheel chair, even despite a whole lot of infrastructure put in place to let people like you have appropriate access to buildings and services. But unless you are dealing with psychos, most people will go out of their way to offer some help whenever you ask for it. Most people will not give it a second thought, no matter their political preferences.

What bugs me the most is if I'm shopping and I have to use the bathroom, a lot of places don't have handicap bathrooms, but they'd have freaking transgender bathrooms. It was frustrating, but what was hilarious was that Pearl herself was the only one actually able to provide an example of a struggle/barrier that women genuinely still face today, and that simply wasn't her intention. This is why I don't like Pearl, she often just regurgitates red pill ideas and narratives, but she really doesn't have the ability to critically think and form her own opinions. So, when she's trying to bring a valid point about female athletes that comes from her own experience, it comes in direct contradiction to how she framed things earlier because she either just doesn't think these things through enough, or her main goal is to get validation from the red pill community rather than adding anything of substance to the debate. I'm glad Syndey called her out for oversimplifying the topic of the wage gap because its not that i even disagree with Pearl, but she does this way too often and comes off as ignorant.

@@telise8730I see what you're trying to do, but the problem with it is that these feminists are not talking about barriers they are themselves enforcing. Let's not forget that they all jumped at the chance to defend the trans(fake)women. They are the ones pushing a barrier in themselves. When they say barrier, they mean they can't kill their child whenever. Or they think they somehow don't have the same legal rights, when they in fact have more in many cases. Pearl isn't trying to get validation. Just because someone says saomething you don't like, or in a way you don't like, doesn't mean they are disingenuous. And as far as "oversimplifing" things, a lot of time, some exactitude is needed to not allow people who disagree, but have no argument, from being able to convolute and muddy the point to where its not understandable anymore.

We might not do a lot of smalltalk, we say what we think and move on.

As an American I can say, unfortunately say of course, but I can, we're absolutely hurting over here. It's because of neurotic and unhinged feminist like you see here, except Pearl and the Australian, which are both level headed, respectful, and can carry on a educated, factual, and healthy debate without disregard, without being argumentative, and most importantly, neither place their feelings above facts. The rest of these men and embarrassing women have led this topic fueled by feelings and nothing else. That's what we're seeing in our society today in every area of debate, in each topic or discussion, the abandonment of factual and irrefutable information being replaced with feelings and victim hood. If we refuse to acknowledge our successes and accomplishments and continue to identify them as failures, as weaknesses, then how will we ever truly identify the area's that need reform, that need attention? How can we create change and explore endless possibilities , when absolutely everything is seen as if it's negatively impacting our society to the point we've lost the ability to draw the line between failure and success. These people truly believe that it's plausible to expect perfection and that it's possible to please each and every person. Great accomplishments in our country, not good enough for a few so we are forced to change change change. Still not good enough to just a couple, so again, change change change. All the while, we could be getting down to solutions in topics where change is much needed but has been ignored and put on the back burner. Until our successes reach perfection, they will not be abandoned. The biggest is equal rights within races and gender as seen here. Americans have every right as the next American with disregard to race and gender. Not one American soul is given more oppurtunity to another because of race, gender, sexuality, creed, religion, finances, and I do believe 2 more that makes up our constitutional rights for equality. Yet, look at this mess right here. Smh. We look like a clown factory to the rest of the world stage. It's truly shocking that America, my beautiful country, that faught with blood ,sweat, and tears, the sacrifices, all for the freedoms and opportunities we are blessed to born into, has become no more than men in dresses and lipstick walking the stages in beauty pageants and men placing 1st place in women's sporting events before biological women so long as they "feel" like a woman and then to have 2 biological men in this video here, dressed as women, speaking on feminism as they tell the biological woman that she's oppressed by men in the workforce and a victim. Our teachers have multi colored hair on Tiktok and cry because they wasn't allowed to tell their 5 year olds in class that their queer and sleeping with a stuffed animal. Law must be passed from state to state in order to protect our children from being groomed in our public school systems because teachers want to talk sex and gender in the classrooms instead of reading, writing, and arithmetic. In California alone ⅓ of students can't read at basic elementary education level. Criminals are being hailed heroes as crys for "defund the police" is deafening. Politicians gave speeches to their constituents to burn our cities down, pillage storefronts and businesses, destroy and burn homes and destroy and burn cars in the roads. Hundreds of thousands are homeless and hungry in our streets but we've had borders wide open, illegally by our government, and the illegally entered receive free housing, food stamps, free education and more. Our veterans receive nothing from our government and die while waiting to be seen at our veteran hospitals and doctors or by self unaliving, 22 veterans a day but honestly more gone from their own hand. That's the American dream for Americans, it's more of the American nightmare, and more Americans than not feel this same way. So yes, beblessed because I promise, from a outside perspective it's easy for most of the world to get a view of perfection and promise but it's nothing more than an illusion. The American dream, is just an illusion.

@@megannoe2057 yeah it has been kinda sad to watch America slowly crumble. Not saying everything is lost but people seem to lack workethic and willingness to find solutions. Instead of working on finding solutions for homelessness, rising costs of living where people often need to work 2-3 jobs, lowering costs of medical care so people dont go broke after an accident (which to me is insane) and so on people keep playing the victim on everything and just crying crying like thats gonna solve anything. At this point I should mention, these a generalizations ofc there are good people in America and I dont have as good of a picture of whats actually going on in there as someone who actually lives there. Onlyfans and stuff like that are so bad for the youth, people just want easy money and are not willing to work and edjucate themselves and thats not good in a long run. Hope thing turn around there and generally all across earth. Bring back peoples ability to think for themselves and not just repeat what they've heard without actually learning about the subject which you can often see when people who have strong opinions about something and cant answer any question regarding the subject. Instead they just scream the same nonsense they read/saw somewhere a little louder.

Im woman from the uk and before i retired i was a criminal defence lawyer. A very male dominated area of the industry esp 25yrs ago when i first entered that field. But it never once occurred to me that i couldn’t do it. I just did it. I went out when i was at university and applied to every law firm to do any work from filing to typing just to get contacts and experience. Then when i was applying fir jobs i applied for everything i saw whether i wanted it or not so i learned how to be interviewed. Then when working in the industry going into prisons, police stations, courts all dealing with 98% male clients, lawyers, judges etc i never felt or thought less than. I remember once a female lawyer came to my area from london and said to me how can you let these men be like this with you its so disparaging and just cos your a woman! I looked her totally confused as really had no idea what she meant. It turned out to her it was bad that my clients would run up to my car when they saw me arrive at court to help with my very heavy and multiple bags, it was wrong that the other lawyers made suggestions and gave advice to me on a case (even though they were just helping someone less experienced a position they had once been in and knew how it felt!). The chat that went on was also bad - you know the banter that i gave more than as good as i got and throughly enjoyed the fun of it. Im afraid i wasn’t as quick as my client who overheard as he told her she needed to take the stick out of her ass and get a life! My clients were very over protective 😆

I would like to add to that in my last job, as a woman, we had a new employee (a man) who was paid more than me and yet we had the same job, but we must take into account that: I got my contract from the former bosses and at a time when our team was complete. he got the job from the new boss and was really needed because there weren't enough people in the team. Before concluding his contract, he demanded a certain price for his salary (of course the boss agreed, we absolutely needed someone more) And so there was a pay gap, but at any time I could have asked for a raise, at any time I could have quit my job for a "better" place. I didn't because: I liked my job I liked my team I was grateful for the lack of accountability that came with not being in charge. (Because of his higher salary, the team treated him like a manager and depended on him.) There are responsibilities that come with being paid more, which at the time I didn't think I could handle. Now I'm doing another job where I'm better paid than others and I have more responsibilities. Now I have the ability to do it and the confidence to ask for a certain salary. Mainly because I learned from watching my colleague do his job and learned from his attitude. I just grew up, it's part of life. Some people will never have the abilities to be better paid, others will never have the backbone to handle the responsibilities that come with these salaries, but in no case is it due to sexism. (we can say that if I didn't dare to ask for a raise in my first job, it's because of gender stereotypes that push women to be less assertive than men, but it's still not sexism but gender behavior, no discrimination took place)

At our quarterly meetings where we got all the department heads together of about two dozen people I was often the only woman! Women would get hired but often didn't last because of the long hours and travel required. I never felt as though I was treated differently or as though I was "less than". In fact on one business trip to Portland when everyone was deciding what to do on their own time some of the guys invited me to go to a strip club with them lol. I politely declined and had a nice dinner with my former mentor instead. I enjoy banter and dark humor and as you say I gave even better than I got, it was a stressful job but I had lots of fun working with those guys. Sydney has a video on her experience in the panel and mentioned that the cut version was far more tame and as "on topic" as they could edit it. The uncut panel was nothing but "as a ______" statements and off topic tyrades. That and some of their sentences were even spliced and cut at breaths. They really did hold it together being probably the only 2 people there willing to listen and ask genuine question on the others' comments instead of just falling into the "as a" argument. Mad props.
