Thanks for the feedback Neil. I agree you should look at the secondhand market you will save a fortune. Consider a 2020 model onwards.

Really enjoyed the vlog and must say that the blue colour running through this years models look brilliant. The offside light is designed as a service light, to help with emptying cassettes and filling water at night. I’m getting closer to my final decision between the basecamp and Adria Action (which I both love). Leaning towards Swift today, buy tomorrow………

The Adria action is a nice looking van especially the 2023 model… It’s just not a Basecamp! I agree the new blue design looks fantastic. Let me know what you go for.

Nice vans, expensive though. As much as I like the orange holdalls in your van these vans should have come fitted with blue ones.

It’s an interesting debate which was had several times around the Basecamps today. The Basecamp stand itself was draped in orange from the carpets to the display stands but the vans are blue. As owners we all in the main love the orange so the blue is very bold/brave move.

@@FlyCampCaravanNorthWales it would look nice with a blue awning as well. Maybe using up existing orange stock? Didn’t like the fixed bed model as there’s nowhere to relax of an evening. Just our preference, will be popular across the channel I guess 🤔

@@CaravanWithThatYorkshireChap the Basecamp 3 is an interesting concept. Removing the bench seats for a fixed bed is removing the comfort from the caravan. That said, I’m sure it will work for some.

Yes I did and it took about 10 minutes in total. Really easy to do. The jockey wheel on the new 2023 Basecamps doesn’t look to me like it would last a season. A cheap jockey wheel is standard on most new caravans which I find very odd. I installed the Kartt Ultimate Jockey Wheel on to our Basecamp:- shop.caravanclub.co.uk/category/kartt-jockey-wheels

Loving the wild graphics, they look inspired by graffiti art 😉 I think i’d prefer the Basecamp 2 over a 3, the bigger version loses a bit of the funkiness for me, a bit like the multiple bigger versions of the Mini or Fiat 500 🤔

The BC2 was the original design and lunches first. The BC4 is popular. I think the range will end up just the BC2 and BC4 but you make a great point around the funkiness.

Not sure about the Basecamp 3 it looks pokey. 2 seats in a 3 berth caravan not well thought out It could have been so much better.

Yep I agree. No space to move around. That said some BC4 owners do leave the bed made up so maybe this is where the idea came from.

The bed in the Basecamp 3 looks tiny - it does not appeal at all. We are sold on the Basecamp 2 and loving your videos. Hopefully we will be enjoying Basecamp adventures soon.

I’m on the fence with the Basecamp 3. The bench seat/bed configuration with mean sitting with our backs to the amazing view out of the infinity window.
