No kidding man. This looks like a promotional video from some pro field fixer. We had shovels, hand tools, sometimes a golf cart worked so we could use that to drag the field. Thanks for 20 years of service 👊🏽

You are in the same boat as most and we commend you for doing what it takes to take care of your field. The folks that take care of the field after we did the renovation are very similar is tools and resources however. It is possible to greatly improve and take care of a field like this with more limited resources.

Building a personal small one for a customer here soon. My first one in my business. Ive heard different mixture ratios for the infield dirt. Clay base with little sand and brick milling..?? Anyone git some input or wisdom on that??

Really enjoyed the video but wish the color saturation wasn't completely blown out. You ruin a lot of detail when the brightness is set way too high.

Im curious as why they dumped the mix on the asphalt...they must not be worried about debris, especially from the bucket scraping the ground

The asphalt is usually the best option as it is made sure it is as free of debris as possible. Putting the mix in the grass or gravel often leads to much more debris. Our operators are very good with the machines to minimize excess debris.

Those areas would use the same clay to build out since they are such heavy wear areas.

Always depressing to see a baseball field all overgrown and clearly not used in years. Overall good job. But the batters box and pitchers mound should be dug out and lay clay brinks down. The way they did it in this video there will be huge holes after just a few games in the batters box, in front of the rubber, and where the pitcher lands.

Those areas were packed and compacted with the same material used to make clay bricks.

To bad they can’t do a field for free… we have kids getting hurt and leaving our program In Monroeville Pennsylvania because the field is garbage and the municipality refuses to fix it.. such an eye sore especially when it’s in the community park.. what a shame
