America shouldn’t have gone any further than this
Ol' Number 8, talking about The Mayflower in DC, or maybe The Langham in Boston. A bit more likely is the Lord Baltiore. "The towels there were so thick I could barely get get my suitcase closed."

@@SSNESS corporations took everything over and the education system failed the people. Pride in the neighborhood is gone. Everyone lost their values. People look for the government to fix everything. Just a complete mess.
Sellout crowd at Ebbets Field for the first game of World Series, but attendance dropped off precipitously for regular season games, leading to the Bums to move to California for the 1958 season. As far as 'Wait 'Til Next Year' goes, there wouldn't be any as the Dodgers would finish their 75th and last season in Brooklyn in third place in the National League.
The narrator must not have been a baseball fan. He mispronounced the names of several players.
