BART - Final Run of the First Fleet

Train action starts at 8:53 after retirement speeches by BART Board President, BART General Manager, representatives from the Western Railway Museum, and Sierra Train House.
Ride San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)'s final run of the "legacy cars" from MacArthur Station to Fremont Station on April 20, 2024. These iconic cars, built by Rohr, were the face of BART since the line's opening in 1972. ‪@BARTable‬ ‪@ATPTransit‬ ‪@westernrailwaymuseum2380‬

Nicely done, Ben! Missed running into you yesterday! I'm so das that BART could not keep a set stashed away after all this to trot out for future special occasions. There is a ton of history in these cars, never to run again.

Great turn out! They should save some for movie making. If they could increase safety at certain stations and parking lots ridership would definitely go up.

First subway I ever rode was BART Green Line on the A/B fleet from South Hayward to Embarcadero Station in the early 1990s. Now, BART is 100% new Fleet Of The Future. Goodbye the classic BART cars '72-'24

If you want to see the Legacy Bart train again, you could go to Universal Studio Hollywood and see it at stage 50, on the studio tram tour.

JC, it's about time. Seattle's Link train already has newly designed cars, and it's only been in service for ten years. Nixon's train was still in service???. That's ashame 🤣
