De Paris à Londres, Leurs queues-de-pie et leurs chapeaux haut-de-forme sont devenus indissociables du milieu Swing et Burlesque et leurs musiques entraînantes ont permis de rapprocher les danseurs des effeuilleuses....
Bart&Baker, DJs depuis 2005 et producteurs de compilations et de morceaux originaux depuis 2009 vouent un amour immodéré au Grand Music-hall et aux artistes qui créent du rêve et de la bonne humeur. Jo « Baker » a choisi son surnom en hommage à la grande Joséphine, croisée en famille et qui lança à sa maman musicienne, lors d'un dîner, « laissez moi adopter votre fils ! ». Pour « Bart » Sampson, l'origine du pseudonyme est autrement plus actuelle, puisqu'il s'inspire directement d'un des personnages de la série animée impertinente « Les Simpson ». Dès lors, rien d'étonnant à ce que cohabitent au sein de leur programmation Sammy Davis Jr, Caterina Valente, Danny Kaye ou Todd Terje et surtout que leurs pas croisent inévitablement les tribus du Swing et du Burlesque !
Suite à l'une de leurs soirées Burlesques, le label Wagram les repère et leur propose de concevoir une série de compilations autour des musiques qu'ils affectionnent et des ambiances qui les inspirent. Naîtront ainsi Swing Party, Electro Swing 3 et en juin 2011, Burlesque Swing une déclaration d'amour musicale au milieu du Burlesque et aux danseurs de swing. Sur cette dernière, ils remixent un titre méconnu d'Eartha Kitt et font chanter pour la première fois Lada Redstar, surprenante dans la version Electro Swing du cultissime « Jukebox », interprété dans les années 50 par le crooner italien Fred Buscaglione. Suivent en Octobre 2011, Saint-Germain-Des-Près Café -- The Vintage Edition qui contient des titres de Jazz dansants. En Novembre 2011, Bart&Baker signent la quatrième édition de la compilation ElectroSwing, sélectionnent l'ensemble des titres et proposent trois inédits dont un remix du titre de Dimitri From Paris, Sacré Français. Sur le cinquième , ils y remixent Caravan Palace, Skeewiff et Gabin. Le nouveau ElectroSwing 6 sortira en novembre 2013 et encore une fois, Bart&Baker ont relevé le défi.
Depuis 2012, le duo sort ses productions sur le label parisien ENTOUKA PRODUCTIONS. 11 Eps ont déjà vu le jour sur le label et leur première collection de titre « Introducing, Bart&Baker est sortie en mars 2013. Une collection de remixes est prévu pour Octobre 2013.
En Septembre 2013 paraîtra leur premier titre « pur club » « Satchmo's Tears » sur Yellow Productions, le label de Bob Sinclar
Au printemps 2014 sortira leur prochain album constitué quasi-intégralement de compositions originales.

Osmanlı döneminde İstanbul’a Kostantinopolis denilmeye devam ediliyordu ve batıdan gelen mektup/ evrakların üzerinde KOSTANTİNAPOL yazılıyordu ve resmî yazışmalarda bu isim kullanılıyordu. Cumhuriyet yönetimi şehir adı İSTANBUL yazılmayan mektup /evrakları Avrupa’ya geri iade ettirdi. Bu durum Batı’yı rahatsız etti ama cumhuriyet yönetimi geri adım atmadı. Şehrin adının İSTANBUL olarak belletilmesi için ABD’de dönemin ünlü bir gurubuna pop müzik yaptırıldı. İSTANBUL NOT COSTANTİNAPOL... yani İstanbul Kostantinapol değildir. 1930'larda yapılan bu şarkı (daha sonra versiyonları çıktı ) bütün dünyaya bütün dillerde duyuruldu...

Istanbul - eis ihn poly, still a Greek name. Such as Smirni and so many other Turkey cities still use Greek names. Istabul was named meaning 'to rush into the City'. Konstantinope, the jewel of Bosporos'
