BART and MUNI Metro at Embarcadero Station

Ғылым және технология

Sorry for the delay, but I FINALLY got to go to the BART! (But only for 5 hours) I wanted there to be information in this video, but alas, the information text boxes and visuals are in a different video editing bundle which I do not have with me at the moment. I could just remake them, but I want them to look consistent through my videos.

Well done. These are the best shots I have ever seen of the double deck nature of the Market St. subway.

Thanks a lot! That's actually very nice to hear for me, because I did try to get good shots while utilizing the two levels, so I'm glad a could deliver!

SF's Bus system is very fun i definitely recommend it. going up all of those q5 and 16% grade hills with those short and stubby 30ft buses and the overhead wire trolley buses. I would also recommend the Streetcars of San Francisco

Up until 2015 the orange line even ran with 3 cars during the off peak

Interesting thread - 4 years later and BART now only runs 10-car trains all day, an artifact of the pandemic. You know which trains are the new clean ones as they are "3-door" trains.

Ya mean R142A, right? Yeah, the Bart A, B, and C cars' propulsion (that's what they're called) sound very similar to the R142, R142A, and R143.

They do, don't they? The BART is actually making new cars now, and they're SUPER UGLY and VERY WEIRD SOUNDING (they're not in service, but one can see them strewn about in yards). Also, which do you think is older, the slanted one or the flat-faced one?

They all do. The propulsion in all the current Bart cars sounds very similar to the r142, r142a, and r143
