Barstow Station: A Train Themed Rest Stop Between LA & Vegas
Barstow Station, along the Interstate 15, is a popular stop for travelers heading to and from Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The McDonald's in the complex is actually built out of six train cars, and diners can eat in these former train cars. Barstow Station is also home to the Greyhound bus station in Barstow California.

Del Tacos in Barstow are much better than others in CA. They use the original menu including the bun taco and the tostada. Larger portions and higher quality ingredients. Three are still owned by the same family that started Naugles.

I went with my dad and my little brother one time on our way to see my mom in Vegas and let me tell you my experience with their del taco. So usually we always go to the train McDonald’s but for some reason my little brother really wanted del taco so we went and I was personally familiar with del taco since I’ve had it before at home with my cousins, I go In and order my usual bean and cheese burrito and two chicken soft tacos with secret sauce and for some reason they hit SO GOOD compared to the ones back home in LA. I was so startled by how good it was tasting. Anyways del taco is goated. I love barstow. That place has a special place in my heart.

Our Greyhound bus stopped here from Aneheim to Vegas, we popped across the road to Starbucks 😊

When I had my first ever solo trip to Las Vegas on the Greyhound bus back in July of 2023, the route to and from Vegas had this as the stop where passengers can get something to eat before we get back on the road. Getting to go inside of the complex and seeing the train cars for a short amount of time was honestly pretty great, especially since it was the perfect place to stop and take a breather before going on the freeway again.
That looks really cool! I like the interior train designs inside that McDonald's.

That's very cool i've been thire as a kid very long time ago then again grown up With family I wanted to pay a visit I haven't seen barstow since I was a kid.❤ Barstow station
I stop here every time I head out to Vegas coming from LA. great little stop with just about everything you need before heading back on the highway!

This is a great station
I haven't driven by in a while, but on the way to Las Vegas from the San Fernando Valley, I would usually stop at the Barstow Station McDonald's for breakfast (I start my drive early). On the way back, I would stop at the Flying J, which is closer to the In-N-Out you talked about.

very different from 1997 when I took the train from Barstow to Chicago. I don't scare easily but there was literally nothing there in 97. Factory outlets are good in Barstow as well.

I much prefer heading an extra 11 miles or so towards Vegas on the I-15 to Calico Rd in Yermo and stop at Eddie World instead (and NOT because I share a name with the owner! It’s just a really nice place to stop)

While Amtrak does not stop there, Amtrak does have a stop for the Southwest Chief in a beautiful building to the north of downtown Barstow.

I was there in 2011 - it looked a bit tired run down and dirty. Looks as through they have spent some money and tidied it up since I was there.

Yes. Stop at Bravo Farms in Kettleman City -- it's about halfway between San Jose and Anaheim
