I checked Google Reviews, and indeed the by-the-slice pizza looks different than the pizza pie. It looks more like a NY pizza (thinner crust). People who had the slices (they uploaded photos) left 5 stars, the reviews where they got the whole pie are 3-4 stars (a couple lower). People are even confused over the ratings, saying it was not good giving the whole pie a lower rating and others not understanding why people give it a low rating when they got the slices. It's hilarious; for some reason the individual slices look different. Not sure but it looks like Jeff knew what he was talking about and Dave got lied to for some strange reason.

@@iceman6518 you didn’t look carefully then. You can’t tell me the crust looks the same because it doesn’t. It’s definitely thinner. And yes I also looked at their website and saw nothing about slices but people in the google reviews mention it and there is a slight difference in the photos. Look closer.

The old pizza place that was there was wayyyy better than the current place this place is literally for city goons, the old pizza place was family owned and was there for decades, but had to move because of high rent. Not to mention there were at least 2 more pizza places/places that sold pizza he could have tried in Sag Harbor...ESPRESSOS...AND CAPPELLETTI'S and sometimes IL CAPPUCINO.

West Ave Pizzeria (Saratoga Springs, NY) Looked like one of the worst pizzas I've ever seen in my life and he gave it a 7.3 and all neapolitan starts at 6.8. Lost the plot, I get being generous to struggling businesses but that's insane

he just made up some dumb rules (8 being a rookie score, 6.8 neapolitan, made up categories like 'football pies' etc.)and the majority of his audience are dumb people that would start calling him out if he broke those rules so he just goes along despite none of it making any sense. a LOT of great pies got subpar reviews because he didn't care, was in a rush, or some other outside factor. let's not forget that half the time he accuses a pie of being "greasy" it's just olive oil, which is great? i mean, people who truly think his reviews are something to go by when picking the best pizza spots are morons, but even if we don't take him seriously at least it should make sense.

I think you hit a really good point about the whole rushing/not caring thing. Old reviews used to be 4-9 minutes, now a 3-5 minute review is like Max you’re gonna get. Cus he says he’ll do 30 in a day or whatever. Like cool I get it, but the quality of the video just goes down immensely cause he doesn’t care and is rushing to get them done.

This pizza place took over an excellent italian restaurant with an upscale vibe and reasonable prices for the locals in town (and great pizza) and they serve burnt discs of gross and never have slices ever. they’re overpriced and they stink big poopy, live here full time and they haven’t once have slices
