Комедия

Dave goes to Conzo's pizza where the pizza maker is wearing a John's of Bleeker shirt, and expectations could not be any higher.

There wasn't enough cheese on it is the reason. When I make a pizza I put at least a pound of cheese on it after adding meat sauce and pepperoni/sausage. When the cheese starts bubbling and the grease starts dripping it's time to pull it out. Without lots of cheese it isn;t a pizza.

But I thought the flop would kill it, but he waited, he said it would firm - and god-damnit it did on that next slice. Completely agree about the char though - burnt pizza is horrific, but the best pizza is when you've flirted right up to that line. Like a good croissant - it started our as just dough, but if you cook it just right, you get the full spectrum of everything a dough could become in a bite. Plus "cool as fuck" - after you get your 8.2 and celebrate, you then plug the competition you respect.

For those who don’t know, Conzo’s is heavily inspired by Lucali’s and you can see it. They travelled to New York before making the restaurant their favourite was Lucali’s. The pizza oven is insane. I’ve been there 3 times. I’d give it an easy 8.5-9 (based on North of Brooklyn getting an 8.4). This place is probably considered the best pizza in Toronto with Badiali right there.
