I know this is an older comment, but just went a year ago, and had what he had and omfg was it the best pizza I have ever had in my life. Had the Tiramisu after and I was just in love. Can’t wait for another trip!

I went to New York and the first thing I did was eat here because it was the highest score next to my hotel. It was so good I laughed. I'm from Florida so I didn't know pizza could be that good.

Just had Angelos today - amazing.

I live on the opposite side angelos and after watching his review I went for the first time. The pizza was definitely worth the 9.3 however their pasta. Oh my lord the pasta was out of this world. 9.6 on a pasta scale.

I love this one! The ladies think Dave is the owner. And he plays along with them so convincingly! 😂

I used to attend Calvary Baptist Church (now gone), right next door to Angelo's in the mid 90's - early 2000's. My twin sister and I would always grab dinner there before choir rehearsal. One night we walked in and I see this guy in front of me with great skin. He turned around and it was Tony Bennett! So cool. He came in and was sitting at the bar waiting for his pie to go. If Tony Bennett likes it has to be good!

Ate there twice last week. It definitely deserves the 9.3. Truly delicious pizza

Monster review, for those around there, would the score hold up in 2023?

Ate at Angelos simply because of this review. And when I tell you its one of the best pizzas Ive ever eaten...I am dead serious. From Daytona Beach, Florida ate their every time I have been up to NYC.

Angelo’s is our favorite. We drive from MD to get their pizza. Not only is everything good and tasty but the staff is great too.

I’m in New York City and I’ve used the one bite app for dinner every night. Went to Angelo’s today and my lawd it was some of the best I’ve ever had. Didn’t watch the review before hand just looked at scores better than 8.0 and this was one of the higher scores

Had it today, found it thru the one bite app. 2 years later it’s still holding it down. Truly great tasting pizza, coal fired. Nice crisp, great crust and super thin.

The scoring system is actually 1-99

Ate here a few hours ago before leaving nyc and the sauce they use I have to say was possibly the best I’ve had on a pizza. A 9’s spot easily!

I went yesterday. It was good but not sure about that score. 9.4 would be so good you have to go back anytime you're in the area. I'd be fine if I didn't.

For the love of Christ, Pres let people grab their own slice instead of putting your paws all over it.

I live in Florida, I went to NYC twice in 3 months and had Angelos twice, for sure my favorite. I ate John’s on Bleecker and Sally’s Apizza in New Haven, I like Angelos better! Angelo’s Definitely a 9.3, John’s on Bleecker a 9.1 and Sally’s was a 8.1….of course my opinion.

Just had it. 8.8... Sauce makes it. Doesn't have much of a crunch, but it's good. Cheese is randomly applied.

Visited Today and this did well. I do look at daves review with others. I go for both daves and other top rating to visit myself.

If this is the pizza place underneath the Late Show marquee then I've been here. Great pizza. Not a slice place though. Took the rest home then walked to Carnegie Deli to meet some friends. Had a pastrami sandwich and an egg cream. Great food day. Pizza is an 9.2. I asked the guy if he could open his oven so I could take a picture and he did. Great guy.

Went to Angelo’s today. Found it on his One Bite App. This pizza is AMAZING.

Went here recently and it was incredible--pizza was an easy 9.4. The salad and prosciutto balls were amazing and the papardelle bolognese was EXACTLY like my Italian grandmothers. Real deal food.

I've had this pizza recently and it is top tier. and if I ever go back to NYC I'll go back to Angelo's

It’s pretty good, but Dave wouldn’t have given it a 9.3 today. The pizza I had wasn’t done enough for me and was a bit floppy, but I could see a well done pie landing in the low 8’s. Which is not a bad score at all. The next time I’m hungry and in that part of manhattan I’ll definitely go back.

Im from england and i will have to try this place next as well. unfortuantely last time i went new york in 2013, Davey hadnt started the one bite reviews. I had to check on trip advisor. I went to Grimaldis in Brooklyn and found it amazing. Also went to Joes Pizza on Carmine St. that was also quality pizza at a great price. was only a dollar a slice at the time

Was there a few days ago. Hands down the best pizza I’ve had. I also went to Di Fara and thought that the pizza from Angelo’s was better, but Di Fara had that ole school atmosphere which was great to experience. Both are worth making the effort to try if you’re in New York.

That had to be the most understated 9.3 rating Dave ever gave.

Two days in New York. Two trips to Angelo’s. Legit 9.3.

The best part is that he convinces people he's serious when he's not.he is able to maintain a straight face which is the key for what he accomplishes.

Come try Tonys Pizza in Sutton, Massachusetts. Right near Worcester.

Was there last April with the family. I had pizza which was amazing. My son had bolognese which was one of the best I’ve ever eaten.

Ate there a couple weeks ago. So good. Best pizza I ever had. Been thinking about it since. Their meatballs were super good too

Went today bc of the one bite pizza app. Was awesome pizza, but a little too floppy for the 9s. Easily in the 8s tho & the service is amazing. Throwback place & we'll definitely be back. Also delicious salads

I just had my first trip to NYC and stopped at like 6 different places, I liked John’s of Bleecker a tad better but Angelo’s was definitely my number 2 followed closely by Joe’s

Going here today. 9.3? My expectations are pretty high! I’ll update when I’ve had it Update: 9.3 was too generous. It’s a solid 8.5. The white sauce pizza was a 7.8.

I had it yesterday on my last day in NYC. I’ve had better pizza, but it’s good 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’d say a solid 7.5-8. The staff was super nice

Why does he always get a Large pie? I get getting a pie vs a slice but since he usually doesn't finish it. So why not get a medium or a small? Just something I thought of after hearing him say he got a large pie.
