Barry Roubaix 62 Mile Gravel Race

This was my first time racing the 64 mile race! My legs began to cramp between mile 42 & 47. I did all I could to keep on people's wheels and get to the finish. Snapped my shifting cable on my rear derailleur so I only had 2 gears the last 4 miles or so. Only had to walk one hill.
I sped things up a bit on the video when I get dropped :)
It was the hardest race I have ever done.

I live in Hastings and my grandson and his dad did the 36-mile this year. It was my grandson's 3rd time, he had previously done the 18-mile twice. I drove part of the route with my grandson the day before the race but this gave me an idea of what the race was really like. Thanks so much for sharing this. 😀👍AND congratulations on finishing the race with all the difficulties. 👏
"Hooooly shit" from the cop standing in the middle of the peloton was hilarious lol. Great video, that sand was crazy. You guys were flying early on.

😂you guys all struggling in the light sand on 3% grade is too funny . I cant wait to feel the burn this year. Cheers.
Marshal in the middle of the road… seriously? That’s madness, pity you don’t have any telemetry on screen to see how your cadence is and HR… super fast pace.

Thanks!! These long videos I use basically all the footage. Pretty thankful the camera does the bulk of the work 😁.
