@@jeffturton8386 Remember "acting is truth," "use it," "you don't have to know what child molestation is like, you just have to know what it's like to hurt someone." Bill Hader really hurt someone and he's using it...duh? I mean I wouldn't have even wondered if it wasn't brought up 15 times as what acting is, and then it kinda went nowhere, for Barry, if not Bill Hader? What's "murder"? It's the worst thing Bill Hader ever did to someone. Here's what it might be: "Can you give me ANYTHING?"--Sally to Barry, in that scene that won the Emmy, after he murders his old marine buddy, with the agent in the audience. The biggest literary agent in the world had requested my novel--the real "Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs" from "South Park." The book that makes you puke, that's inexplicably REALLY good. Bill Hader was there, in the "South Park" writer's room. That was a parody of a real book--that's why that episode made no sense, and people still ask Google if it's real, somehow. I had mailed it to the voice of Towelie. I thought I had enough evidence (there's even more, now.) But nobody believed it? Or understood? Or cared? "Guys, this is MY LIFE. I don't want to sue you. It's the coolest thing in the world. Salman Rushdie's agent requested it because this literary genius Stanford neuroscientist basically said 'I think it's like the best thing I've ever read?' like an idiot, like the episode. He's talented, you guys are actually talented, this book is weird and nobody ever thought it would sell, it means EVERYTHING TO ME. I love you. 'They did a 'South Park' about it' already makes it more relevant to pop culture than 1,000 pieces of shit no one cares about that won literary awards. Can you give me ANYTHING?" Cold. Under orders, like the Macbeth scene from Season 1--"South Park" guys didn't want to get sued or then, have it be known they were dicks like that. Unfortunately for their personal brands, they just can't help themselves: they put everything in the show. From my book, to Bill Hader screaming at Trey Parker about his personal brand in 2012--fucking me over really upset him (which might be hilarious over at "South Park" since Bill Hader is now terrified about his personal "Barry" brand as "he's really the world's biggest dirtbag, that's what that show was about"--really not my intention, though.) To you feeble-minded dolts who just think the TV is talking to me / can barely even read (my name is "Rick"--the season finale of "South Park" was just saying my name as much as possible--48 times, tied with "a"--the TV is literally talking to me!) Bill Hader felt like he murdered the guy who wrote the real "Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs," which is actually called "Bebe's Tale" (like the "South Park" character,) which is why the character Bebe beat the shit out of Butters' "personal brand" last season. Butters sometimes stood for Bill Hader! They were worried this story would make them look like dicks! But between "Barry" and "South Park," I don't know which series of confessions is more obvious? @@Recompense40 I’ve tracked going into the dealership. That was easy. The hard part is figuring exactly when he exits the building. The camera work actually obscures him. I think the trick is even smarter than that. See he walks in with his helmet on. My guess is that's the stunt double running inside first, not Bill. the stunt double runs to the backroom and stay there. Bill Hader is strategically placed somewhere else - without helmet - so he can pop up and his appearance in the crowd accordingly. It's very well executed, because it's still hard to make out where exactly Bill is coming from.

This scene really shows that you don’t have to score something if you’re willing to play with the sound design. In my opinion, I think if they added some blaring action music it would be really out of place for the show, so making the chase a lot more detailed with the sound really added to seeing it all play out. The short one-shot part at the end is really clever too. How they have the stunt man switch out and have Barry just appear as part of the crowd is really good and reminds me of the one-shot fight from season 2

@altafkalam2716 Жыл бұрын
This is literally how it'd be if a bunch of motocross riders started chasing after you. Barry's driving the bike like we all would because he isn't a motocross pro. There aren't wacky stunts with the bike from him, just weaving in and out of traffic. The absence of music, the botched handover of the machine gun and the guy crashing his bike after that... Shit is so good. Never thought you could revolutionize a chase scene because it's been done to death ever since movies and tv were invented.

I love the way the hitmen trying to kill Barry are so incompetent and not able to shoot straight and suicidally one standing up on the store-roof back exposing himself to the line of gunfire like an idiot, without the scene straining it's believability factor, but the cream at the top is when Barry's bike falls over when he comes near to a stop and then the bike chasing him zooms by because he cant stop right away but then u-turn drives onto the roof of the store and starts shooting random shots through the roof - an original classic scene even though the logic is ridiculous surreal.

I think the trick is even smarter than that. See he walks in with his helmet on. Wow. The cinematographer on this deserves all the awards they can get
I keep rewatching the long shot when the biker is shooting into the car sales building and keep noticing something new that happens every single time, the d and the c in the sign get taken out by bullets, light fixtures fall down, debris from the roof along with bullets creating a dust cloud on the ground where they hit, the car inside gets its wheels taken out by ricochets and you see it become off balance since its front wheels are still up and even when the guy shoots back you see loads of pellets hit the top of the building and create a black smudge just below where hes shooting at the biker, so insanely detailed

yeaa they kinda messed up with that part, realistically all those people should have gone out of their cars and ran!

I'm not saying you do but if you think barry is some type of hero that cares about people he doesn't know... idk what show you been watching. He's a bad dude. (Love the character but he's a bad man)
The motorcycle chases in Mission Impossible are the fantasy. Everyone rides like GP pros and shoots like Olympians. This is the reality of how a chase would go down. Both are exciting as hell.
That hand off with the m249 freaking killed me! Would totally happen to me if I tried to do something like that.

As a musician, I wholeheartedly agree
What I love about this show is how human everything is, the characters try to do cool shit but end up fucking themselves over. And then the store owner shooting the biker at the end too.
I think sunroof machine gunner was this series pet tiger moment
Barry holding the white bag, folded at the top is a brilliant touch. Though the car wreck, the shootings the expressway chase the bag is always there. Hilarious.
rewatching this scene with headphones on is crazy
This sequence is so perfectly directed.
Fun Fact: They filmed in real life Los Angeles traffic. No stunt actors or drivers in any of the actual cars.
I lost it at the part where the guy tries to hand off the LMG, completely whiffs it, and the dude crashes. The comedic value that is intertwined with the depth and seriousness of this show cannot be understated.
As an avid motorcycle rider, I find it hilarious how underpowered the motorbikes are in this scene
No music. Almost no dynamic camera movement. All well framed. A proper chase.
I love the song they pick for the outro
I can’t believe the cars on the freeway were mostly CGI.

Only cars that were cgi were ones going in the opposite lane. They shut down the highway multiple Sundays to film it. Bill Hader did an interview about it

@@Research0digo The fuck do you mean "Nope?" Guy literally *mentions* the Bill Hader video where you can confirm all this stuff. The word 'nope' gives way too much power to feckless shitlords who wanna drop into comments and be contrarians
How this chase starts in Canoga Park and ends up by USC within minutes is amazing. Completely different sides of town.

motorcycles move fast.... with lane splitting
The way this was filmed is amazing. Especially the sound design as they sped through the cars
*When you have a bounty on you on gta5 and the biker club comes after you....*
I love how you see half the buckshot hit the building at the end, That man knows his gun
The fact that there’s no music other than peoples radios from their windows being down is just a really nice detail no idea why but I love it
I love the excessive amounts of collateral in these scenes 😂😭
The absence of motorcycle gloves is truly terrifying.
This series is freakin awesome
I think they passed right by my house 😂
One of the best chase scenes since “The French Connection.”

Barry must make the national headlines every day
the lack of soundtracks makes this even better than I thought it would be, plus the cinematography is just amazing fucking loved this episode
now that is cinema my friends!
This was the greatest thing I ever saw on a Wednesday night
"You're my buddy, you're my friend..."
No music, fucking FINALLY SOMEONE HAS LEARNED
I love the way the hitmen trying to kill Barry are so incompetent and not able to shoot straight and suicidally one standing up on the store-roof back exposing himself to the line of gunfire like an idiot, without the scene straining it's believability factor, but the cream at the top is when Barry's bike falls over when he comes near to a stop and then the bike chasing him zooms by because he cant stop right away but then u-turn drives onto the roof of the store and starts shooting random shots through the roof - an original classic scene even though the logic is ridiculous surreal.

try hitting anything with a rifle while riding a dirt bike...
The car sale's man handled the whole situation like a G.
0:38 I lost ma shit during this scene not only for the gta like camera angle but the fact that they were able to keep the shot going for a while .Every second the shot kept going I got more and more hyped . Absolutely amazing!
